We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Covington and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Krystal, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
One of the most essential lessons I’ve learned recently is that once I know something is possible I can make it happen. A few years back I heard a podcast that discussed the benefits of purchasing an existing business rather than starting one. After learning about the benefits and basic tactics I then began meeting others who had done so and realized it’s not as challenging as I would have assumed. This year I bought a business for the first time and it was an exciting moment.
What should our readers know about your business?
I currently own a marketing firm called Go Lead Consulting. Alongside two incredibly professional women I help companies reach revenue goals and brand themselves effectively. In addition, I recently acquired Bella Virtu Organics, a line of skincare products that help boost skin hydration, perfect for Colorado.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I recently had the pleasure of entertaining my sisters recently. They had a wonderful evening on the rooftop of Del Frisco in Cherry Creek, getting tasty ice cream at Sweet Action Icecream, followed by a morning at Matthews/Winters Park for hiking.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
No one succeeds without a village. Coming to Denver and launching the Women of Denver was the most important step for me to find out what I could be capable of. The group stretched me in unique ways, provided wonderful personal development experiences, and gave me access to women who could mentor me. I’m also so grateful to have a spouse that continues to encourage me to be the greatest version of myself professionally.
