Meet Krystal Mucha | Real Estate Agent, Team Lead of The Mucha Property Group, and Risk Taker Extraordinaire

We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Mucha and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Krystal, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is the only way to combat one’s personal fears. In life we have very little within our control and by making the choice to take risks, it’s my way of taking control – one way or another. Throughout my entire life I have been known to be the one who jumps without hesitation. Although that may seem true, it isn’t without great thought and trust in myself. As an adult, I found myself moving from state to state as a military spouse being tossed into many unknown situations. I felt terrified, alone, and completely out of place. Instead of choosing to be a wall flower and shy away, I quickly identified and acknowledged my fears. I decided the only way I was going to get through anything was to get going… I used my fear of rejection and judgement to challenge me. From it, I quickly became confident and proud. I volunteered for anything and everything… I was going to jump even if it meant face planting.
Oddly enough, risk taking didn’t seem to be so present until I was faced with some very stressful life decisions that would impact the most important lives I have ever had to consider; my children. Their father and I divorced many years ago and there I was – again- feeling terrified, alone, and completely out of place. But this time, it was different. I didn’t need downtime, I knew that this was just a wall to climb and on the other side was something new that would, I am sure of it, challenge or break me and I needed to find out which it was going to be.
And with that, I adjusted my crown, bought a house, quit a job, started a consulting company, accepted a government job, quit that job, put the house on the market, packed up everything, and moved the kids and I to Colorado…without a job. If that’s not risk taking, I don’t know what is!
By the grace of God and LinkedIn, I locked down a job offer from a great corporation that I loved dearly. During our new adventure, I took another leap and decided to try my hand at online dating. YIKES! Thankfully I swiped right on a gorgeous Italian man who proved to be even more beautiful on the inside. The best part about him was how he showed me why taking risks suited me… After two years, lots of business travel and complete burn out, my “bumble mate” (dating website reference) sat me down and reminded me of who I was… Guess what came next? If you guessed, “you quit your job”, YOU NAILED IT! I dropped papers and decided I was going to become something I had always wanted to be, a Realtor.
I ordered my course items, impatiently waited for them to arrive, and then dove in headfirst once they arrived. It took me 9 days to finish my studies. On August 1, 2019, I drove 2.5 hours to take my real estate test and PASSED on the first try. I didn’t know what was in store or what would come of it, and I didn’t care.
You see, every time I chose to do something, it was silencing a fear, and another, and another….
Many, many, MANY more risks later, here I am. 2 years & 5 months in. I have a wonderful team of 11 agents spread across Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, and New Hampshire. I am beyond grateful for every situation I have experienced and truly humbled by the outcomes. I have no idea what risks may be over the next wall but I do know, I WILL be taking them!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
With the help of my husband, and The Mucha Property Group COO, I started my real estate team on August 1, 2020, the same day we got married.
My platform has always been focused on relationships, integrity, and being good to all people. This hasn’t always been easy in our industry. From nasty vendors, to lazy and unethical agents, to clients who don’t understand the efforts or sacrifices I make for them… It has taught me to speak up. I fight for what’s right and fair, I will step away when I know it’s not a win-win for everyone, and most importantly, I will do it all wholeheartedly.
I am my brand. The Mucha Property Group is a top notch real estate team dedicated to providing a luxury experience and exceptional customer service.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My ultimate favorite spot to be is at The Broadmoor. It has everything for a wonderful time.
I’d kick of the weekend at Play with some bowling and light appetizers, head up to 1858 for a mouth-watering dinner and evening sunset, warm up back at “The Bar”, and tuck in for a wonderful nights rest in one of the many luxurious rooms, We’d wrap up the weekend in the spa and by the pool in one of our private cabana’s.
Forget the traffic or having to find parking… I would choose to be on property at The Broadmoor over any place in Colorado. I challenge everyone to experience it!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My children and my husband deserve all the recognition! It was them -and always will be- the reason I won’t sink. They are my “Dead Sea”.
