Meet Kyle Bowers | Personal Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Bowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyle, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Over time, my work-life balance has definitely shifted more toward work. However, while it may seem like my life leans heavily in that direction, I’d argue that I’ve never been more in balance.
My intense focus and drive taught me early on that running a business is a lot like feeding a fire—it consumes everything you put into it: time, money, and effort. I learned that lesson the hard way, witnessing firsthand how it affected my personal life. Once I saw the toll my business was taking, I decided to take control.
Though I may now spend more hours working than I did when I was younger, I feel far more fulfilled. More importantly, I’ve come to truly appreciate the value of rest, self-connection, and building deeper relationships.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Personal training can often seem one-dimensional, focused solely on weights and exercises. However, I believe a key aspect of it is going deeper to create exercises tailored specifically to each client, as not every exercise suits everyone. I take my clients’ aches and pains into account and design exercises using both foundational and innovative principles and movement patterns, not only to heal their bodies but to optimize their progress at the same time.
My journey to where I am now has taken a great deal of time, effort, and persistence. It was never easy, but I would do it all over again. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that life never gets easier—you just get better.
I want the world to know that by focusing on helping others and doing the right thing, positive outcomes will naturally follow. Your path may not unfold exactly as you envision it, but with perseverance, you will reach your destination in the end.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was in town I would take them to get breakfast in Boulder and drive various mountain passes to see different towns and sites. I would take them to Podium in Thornton to race go karts and get pho at Pho Duy in Broomfield. Red Rocks is always a must see when friends are in town so I would take us to Morrison to see their favorite artist.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I attribute much of my success to the books I read and listen to, but the one that has had the greatest impact on me is *The Go-Giver*. This book has become the foundation for how I run my business and build relationships, grounded in strong principles and morals. It has provided me with valuable tools to support both my personal and professional life. The book emphasizes the importance of servanthood—how helping others succeed ultimately leads to your own success. I have embraced this ideology throughout the early years of my business, and it has not only allowed me to support my community and the people around me but has also contributed to the growth of my business.
