Meet Lainey Schiek | Psychic, Astrologist & Usui Reiki Master

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lainey Schiek and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lainey, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk has played an amazing role in my career as a business owner. I tried and failed at multiple career paths that were considered “safe” such as nursing and advertising. I never felt ready to risk it all and pour myself into my own work full time until I started Fated Healer, my psychic, astrology and reiki business. It was at that moment I decided the way I served others through my work was more important than my sense of safety. So far, it’s worked out!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Fated Healer, is a psychic, astrology, and reiki healing business. Reiki is a form of healing that balances energy and removes blockages (energetically, spiritually, physically, mentally & emotionally). What sets me apart from most reiki healers, astrologers and psychic readers is that I often combine different healing or divination styles in my sessions. If I feel called to during a psychic reading, we’ll pull up your astrological birth chart, or I’ll use my reiki skills to sense what imbalances are currently in your energy to best help you. I also teach almost everything I offer, which allows me to guide you towards what healing modality suits you best in the moment. Teaching also empowers my clients to learn how to do whatever helps most to themselves if they would like to!

I’m most proud of my reiki practice. We’re having Usui Reiki I Class start up again May 27, I truly enjoy teaching this energy practice because I’ve found it to be a very impactful form of healing in general. It’s amazing watching my students grow throughout the time we have together. I’m excited to start reading astrology this May at SpiritWays Denver as well!

I got to where I am business-wise over a couple of years of trial and error. At first the idea of starting a business was terrifying. The more I started talking with other people in my life who are also business owners, I realized it was a great option to explore. It was not easy to overcome that learning curve without the help of my supportive community. I also spent hours researching online, which really helped!

I learned a business is built off of showing up for yourself and your clients. Sometimes the best thing I can do to show up for myself is take a break and that’s ok! I always come back refreshed and ready to serve. Also time-management is a myth. The second I seem to get a routine down my schedule changes. I’ve learned to trust the ebb and flow of my work, and act accordingly

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that, I’m truly blessed to run a business that serves our community. Oftentimes when working in spiritual healing, my clients are facing truly difficult situations. I’m grateful they feel safe enough to share and be vulnerable. I’m also grateful to witness their growth and strength as they overcome those challenges in their lives! Whether it’s reiki, astrology readings, sound healing, or psychic readings, I’m happy to be here doing what I love.

There’s truly so many people I could shoutout here! I truly appreciate the mentorship I received from my amazing Reiki Master Teacher and the shop owner of Snowflake Healing, Pam Ziolkowski. She inspired me to walk the path of a spiritual healer, and created space for me to gain experience. I’ll always be grateful for her influence in my life.
