We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Vorster and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
At PEZZO Apparel, we believe in creating consciously made, sustainable and eco-friendly clothing with a focus on versatility and comfort above anything else.

Founded in the heart of scenic Colorado and based a stone’s throw from the Rocky Mountains, we’re endlessly inspired by our love of nature and being outdoors. Each of our eclectic pieces is uniquely crafted by hand with the highest-quality materials.

PEZZO (Italian for piece) completes the puzzle of your everyday wardrobe. From lazy days spent on the couch to hiking adventures and exploring, we’ve created signature pieces that are as adaptable as you, so that you can live your everyday life without ever compromising on style.

We’re great for your closet and even better for the planet. We hope you’ll join us on our slow-fashion journey!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hi, I’m Laura! I’m a Mom, Wife, Designer, Adventurer, and the founder of PEZZO.

I’ve always had a passion for sewing and sustainable fashion. After working in the fashion industry for many years and having my daughter, I found it hard to find versatile and comfortable clothing that really fit my lifestyle.

I struggled to find styles that would take me from PTA meetings with the moms to a quick hike with my pup, so I decided it was time for me to go into business!

Being a mother, watching my daughter grow up surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, and running a female-founded business inspires me every day. I created PEZZO with me in mind, and I hope you adore finding the right look for your lifestyle.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would have to start in Evergreen. After moving here in 2019, this little town has so much to see. From paddle boarding on the lake, then a long hike through Elk meadow finally stopping at Evergreen Brewery for the drink with a view. I the friend was staying longer than a day, I would take the for a drive up Blue Sky or find some great Hot Springs in Idaho Springs.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout Out to Lit wood Inc in Black Hawk. He saw my passion and realized he had a place in his store for me. I was struggling online to get traffic. He reached out to offer me a space were people could come see my designs that other wise would not know Pezzo Apparel existed. He is helping a lot of small unknown Colorado businesses with his shop.
