Meet Lesley Geller | Business Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lesley Geller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lesley, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
I am not sure what the end of my career will even look like. My hope is that I will have touched thousands of people all around the world and helped them to see a new perspective. In the past 15 years I have seen such great heartache in the way people are starved for balance in their work and life, yet can’t seem to access it. Without this access, Successful small business owners struggle with anxiety, overload, and a constant feeling that there is never enough time. Not enough time to pause, be with their family, relax, think clearly or truly enjoy the space of living their life. Instead, they are often in a constant struggle to simply make it through each day. By the end of my career, I would like to see people sharing the work I have shared with them. Recommending the books I have written, the online course I’ve created and simple tools they have learned to use by their work with me. Tools that help them to design their life. Tools that help create new daily perspectives. Ones that help them shift their thinking from I can’t, to how can I make this work? There is always a new lens, and once we learn how to access it, our lives can be planned out in a meaningful and balanced way. A way that allows you to truly enjoy the entire process of living.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Business/Life Coach | Founder of Geller Coaching, but I prefer to think of myself as a Performance Coach, using an intuitive style of coaching that is unique for each professional I work with. I provide perspective shifts, support, accountability and a systematic way of getting from where you are now, to where you want to be. Each session is guaranteed to create weekly movement by challenging the current way of thinking and doing with the use of results driven strategies. It’s about tapping into true potential and transforming it into sustainable and successful performance. My most proud moments in this career have been watching Professionals transform into leadership roles, entrepreneurs turn ideas into lucrative businesses and small business owners find work/life balance in a way that allows them to experience joy rather than overwhelm.
My practice has been a successful referral-based business for 15 years which I equate to living and breathing the tools I offer to my clients. Having a well-defined system that includes daily lists, weekly/monthly overviews that also incorporates a balance of life.
I began this practice as a single mother with 2 young boys, while simultaneously teaching, so no, it was not easy. But with the help of my own Coach, I was able to set appropriate boundaries and goals, allowing myself to adjust my perspective every time I sat down to work. Constantly realigning my priorities continues to help me even today.
What I have learned most in this process of running my own business, just as my clients have, is that it is a process. We can’t constantly stare at the end game and wonder when we will get there. Instead, we can set the end game, then go back to where we are now and begin to lay out a plan, following through one step at a time. What I have learned as a parent and business owner, is that even when it feels like we can’t do it one more day, we actually can. With the simple process of planting our feet, inhaling deeply and resetting, we can begin again any moment. Every moment, if needed.
What I know is that today’s greatest challenge, is sustained focus. And that without this simple piece, we are anxious, overwhelmed, in the weeds and experience a frequent state of ‘spinning’. Yet with new tools and a new perspective, sustained focus can become your asset. And WILL change your life.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to Michael Trapp, Creative Life (therapist). Micheal was my first Coach when I first made the decision to become a Coach myself. I worked with him for several years, which only convinced me how valuable it was to have a Business Coach guiding me in my process and work.
