We had the good fortune of connecting with Lewis Warren and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lewis, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
You know, I was always afraid of stepping off on my own because of having Cerebral Palsy (C.P.) so I was more comfortable behind the scenes. But after years of people telling me how amazing I am with knowing the in and outs of collecting, comics and action figures.

So the idea of starting my own business really started from friends giving me the nudge to do so.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well, because of having C.P. people have written me off. But to most people’s surprise I am extremely talented. Everything from doing stand up comedy, writing jokes to drawing, painting and writing scripts. I try to spread my talent to anything I can, and what I can’t do, I learn to do and set my mind to it. I just love being versatile and doing so much!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ha, well…. If this was the case, I would definitely have to have to stop by Inn & Out burger. I grew up for awhile in San Diego and I love Inn & Out… Double-double with extra cheese, plain with just spread! That’s living it up! I would of course take them downtown, 16th street mall and I could not pass up a chance to have them experience a concert at Red Rocks! There’s nothing like it!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If I had to give a shoutout to those that helped me along the way, where would I start? There’s people along the way that have helped and made everything easier…. Man, I would have to start with my girlfriend., she has been through the thick and thin of this thing from the start. So I would be shooting myself in the foot if I didn’t mention her. There were times I would go 5-6 days without a single customer and I would go home to her and cry. I would tell her “I’ve made a huge mistake starting this business” and she would tell me to stick with it and not to give up. “things will get better”. That saying behind every good man is a great woman. This is that 100%.

2nd would be Tony. That guy has been my rock. He supported the business and came by so much he became a staple for it. Now he is working here and is just one of the main reasons I did stick with it and never gave up.

I could go on with so many people, JT, Noah, Short Cake, and of course my twin brother.
