We had the good fortune of connecting with Lia Eyre and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lia, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
We moved into our rv at the time our daughter Lennon was 18 months old and started traveling around the USA. Lennon has been to nearly 30 states in the last 2 years alone and she’s been to more National & State Parks than I can count. She has a true love for learning and adventuring in nature and I truly believe that is the very best gift I could give to our child. We plan to continue traveling as a family long term and know that it will impact her education in an incredibly beautiful and hands on way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our goal is to inspire others to find their Wild, no matter what that looks like. It might be moving into an RV like we did, or traveling part time, or just getting out and exploring your own back yard more often. Finding your Wild is all about authenticity. Maybe it’s someone moving away from their hometown. Maybe it’s someone completing 52 hikes in one year.. It’s all up to you! Only you can define your Wild.

The key to this, is for people to find their Wild NOW! Life’s too short to do good later. Do it now! Do it for you! Do it for our planet. We are happy to offer support and encouragement, and being inclusive of everyone taking this journey.

We are also passionate about sharing cruelty free products and foods, and finding ways to waste less and live more environmentally responsible. It makes us giddy whenever someone tells us that us sharing these items or ideas has inspired them. Any time we can inspire anyone in any of these areas, we are ecstatic!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Always start the day with a local roaster and yummy pastries or breakfast sammie’s! Follow it up with a hike, Afternoon beers always hit the spot after a little sweat session, and end it wherever you can find a campfire with friends new or old. Whenever our friends come to visit they know we are going to be out adventuring!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Let’s shoutout to all of the parents out there that want to challenge the “norm”. There is no such thing as normal and your life can truly be anything you want it to be. Shoutout to the adventurers, the wild ones, the misfits.
