We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Nieto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
To be confident and determined in the services I wanted to provide with going above and beyond to make sure all details were taken care of and full filled in the requests asked by clients needs.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started a private business in bartending services for events by clients who want to have celebrations and hire a professional bartender to entertain and service beverages of any kind to their guests. Weather it be in their home or a venue or outside in a park; it is something they can rely on the assistance that I provide to engage in all the needs to prepare, plan and prep for their gathering to lighten the load and relax with their guests. I provide all the things prior to the celebration, such as product purchase, items needed, drink specials, unique variations of mixes to pare with food or spirits, post party needs and costs, so that all things are understood and covered for the big day.
I had been in the service industry since I was 16 years old and felt that it was time I brought all the experience I had with many different successful establishments and states I had worked in to a concept of what I believed celebrations are about and to help booking a private party with ease. Most clients were new to the idea of hiring a bartender for their engagements and it was satisfying and enjoyable to give them a positive and pleasant experience with what I offered and was able to do for them above the standard services of just “showing up” to prepare and serve drinks.
I started “Bar Star Divas” bartending services in 2014 on my own with not knowing if it would be successful and as I have grown through the years I have been able to increase the amount of clients that reach out each year, with little advertisement but mostly from my reviews on different social media options.
I love what I do and I enjoy offering advice and concepts to my clients that they may be unaware of to plan and prepare for when having a party. I love to return every year for them and see the same family and friends. I feel like a friend and family member by the end of my time of service with my clients and I have established an amazing relationship with new and prior clients.
