We had the good fortune of connecting with Livvy List and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Livvy, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe the most important factor behind the success of my brand is creating a comfortable, personable and welcoming atmosphere. As a photographer, I believe that making sure my client is comfortable while shooting with me, leads to better content. I value making connections, no matter who you are or what you to. By doing this, this allows me to get to know my subject, which in turn leads to photos they feel most like themselves in.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think growing up I always just knew I was creative. It came very naturally to me….however I wasn’t aware photography was going to be the path I went down! I still believe I have a long way to go, but I am a firm believer in the saying “fake it till you make it.” Keep going, keep pursuing. Something will happen if you don’t ever stop trying! That’s my motto and I can attest to it working in my personal career. Photography to me is like meditation. I get lost in, time doesn’t exist, it calms me, it’s way more to me than just an art. I hope that’s what people will see and experience when shooting with me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Denver is an amazing city! I grew up here so I have endless recommendations. But, let’s say it’s summertime. I would wake up, grab coffee at Rosebud coffee shop and talk a walk with friends around wash park & maybe lay out in the park after, play a little spike ball with friends and hang in the sun! I would send anyone to Vert Kitchen for the best lunch you’ll ever have. If you can, get tickets to a red rocks concert! Walk around boulder, and possibly do a few days in Aspen!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who have cheered my on throughout my photography journey. But specifically I would like to thank my friend Chase Weber, who lives in LA. He has gone above and beyond to support my career, connect me with people, and is just the most genuine guy who wants to help others succeed. I will pay this back one day!!!
