Meet Luke Rowe

We had the good fortune of connecting with Luke Rowe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luke, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always had a passion for making a real difference in my community, like a leader people could turn to. But for a long time I was unsure how I was even going to get to that level and to make this dream of mine real life.
After moving to Colorado, I worked at a local private gym for about 2 years which ended with me having to make a critical career decision. I was barely making enough to cover my bills, let alone tackle my student loans. It hit me hard one day, and I realized I was at a crossroads. Do I keep grinding as a trainer, chasing this passion that lights me up, or do I take the safer route, maybe go corporate, clock in, clock out, and call it a day? Those moments were tough mentally, as I had to break through a lot of self doubt to be the person I needed to be.
Two of the most important things I’ve learned so far in this lifetime is that “you’ll never know if you don’t try” and that “growth doesn’t happen when you’re comfortable. It happens when you’re scared, uncertain, and still take the leap.” By that point, I’d racked up about 15,000 hours of training, working for other gyms and learning the ropes. I was ready to step up, to do things my way. Deep down, I knew my purpose was to help people feel stronger, healthier, and more alive.
So, I took a deep breath and started my own business. It’s all about helping active people of all ages really, move better, avoid injuries, and feel their best through corrective exercise. I bring the gym to them, whether it’s in-home sessions in places like Wash Park or Cherry Hills, one-on-one training at Rocky Mountain Flex Fitness, or online programs through my FlexFlow app. It’s not just about workouts; it’s about connecting with people, helping them rediscover what their bodies can do and seeing that spark in their eyes when they realize they’re stronger than they thought. Most importantly, I am able to help people work for the quality of life they deserve to continue living a life they love.
Starting this business was my way of betting on myself and my belief that everyone deserves to feel good in their body. If you’re reading this and thinking about taking that next step for your own health, I’d love to be in your corner. Let’s move, grow, and make it happen together.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others? What you are most proud of or excited about? How did you get to where you are today business-wise?
I’ve built FlexFlow Personal Training on four powerful pillars: Fuel Smartly, Move Purposefully, Think Positively, and Live Fully. These help tackle the silent epidemic of sedentary lifestyles that affects so many of us. Hours spent sitting at desks or in traffic tighten hip flexors and quads while weakening the posterior chain, like glutes and hamstrings, leading to pain, poor posture, and injury risks.
My mission is to transform how you move, feel, and live, with personalized programs that deliver real results for busy Denver professionals in Wash Park, Cherry Creek, and beyond.
What sets FlexFlow apart is my comprehensive, science-based approach. Every client starts with a detailed consultation where I assess your movement patterns at five kinetic checkpoints: feet and ankles, knees, hips and pelvis, shoulders, and head and neck. For example, during an overhead squat, if your heels lift, weight shifts forward, or your torso collapses, I pinpoint overactive muscles like hip flexors, quads, and calves, and maybe even range of motion. Using targeted techniques like foam rolling and stretching, I inhibit and lengthen these tight muscles to restore proper length-tension relationships for optimal alignment. Then, I activate underactive muscles, like glutes and hamstrings, with specific exercises to ‘wake them up’ before integrating them into functional movements that mimic real-life activities- think squatting to pick up groceries or playing with your kids pain-free. This corrective exercise process, rooted in my experience, NASM certifications and college education, ensures that you move better, feel stronger, and prevent injuries.
My movement philosophy starts small, building daily habits like brisk walks through Wash Park, then progresses to tailored corrective exercise programs delivered via in-home sessions in Denver’s central neighborhoods, at Rocky Mountain Flex Fitness, and through my FlexFlow app’s high-quality video workouts for flexibility anywhere. I also guide you to rewire your mindset, replacing self-doubt with motivation and sustainable habits through practical strategies, like goal-setting and stress management. Finally, I share time-saving lifestyle hacks to simplify wellness, making it easy for busy professionals to prioritize health without overwhelming their schedules.
Training with me means joining a community of active, driven individuals who want to live stronger and healthier. Whether you’re a 40-something executive in Cherry Creek looking to run your first 5K, a Wash Park parent wanting to keep up with your kids, or simply wanting to feel better, I’m here to empower you with personalized, results-driven training. My clients have gone from chronic pain to crushing their fitness goals, winning tournaments, hiking, dancing, etc. and I’d love to help you do the same.
Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Well I went to school for health science not business, so starting the business side of things was a bit of a challenge but it’s all about your mindset- if you tell yourself that this is going to be hard, it will probably be hard. Starting my business 1.5 years ago, with no money, while managing bills and student loans was tough. I even had to drive for Uber when I first started the business to pay my bills and fund the business.
Other than starting with no money at all, getting new clients was a big challenge due to a lot of factors when I was just starting out. I overcame that challenge by leaning on word-of-mouth referrals and optimized my website for local search to attract clients in Denver’s affluent areas. Collaborating with my local gym to teach classes and create blogs and social media posts have helped my business grow by creating trust and free educational content. I’ll also hand out business cards and occasionally some flyers in strategic places to market my-self and my brand. Additionally, working with the youth Vail Ski and Snowboard Club for dry land training during off season has been a great way to connect and give back to our community. Also I attend and contribute to local charities, such as the USCS Memorial Foundation in golden Colorado for their annual Marine Memorial Golf Tournament.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I want the world to know that FlexFlow isn’t just another fitness program, it’s a promise. It’s not about wasting your time or money on cookie-cutter workouts that leave you spinning your wheels. Every moment you spend training with me is crafted with intention, care, and a deep commitment to helping you become the strongest, healthiest, most confident version of yourself.
I pour my heart and soul into creating a safe, effective, and efficient experience that’s all about you. With over 15,000 hours of training experience, I’ve built FlexFlow to focus on corrective exercise that prevents injuries and boosts performance, whether you’re an active middle-aged adult or someone just starting their fitness journey. Every step is designed to meet you where you are and push you toward where you want to be.
Your success is my success. That’s not just a tagline, it’s my why. I’m not here to just “train” you- I’m here to empower you, to help you move better, feel stronger, and rediscover the quality of life you deserve. When you train with FlexFlow, you’re not just a client, you’re part of a bigger mission to grow, thrive, and become the best version of yourself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Other than getting a workout in at FlexFlow, here at some things i would do with my friends if they were visiting!
Get Out in Nature: Hit a trail in the Rocky Mountains, I’d pick a short hike like the Flatiron Trail at Chautauqua Park for those peak views. It’s my favorite way to slow down, ditch the chaos, and just connect. In summer, we’d go river tubing in Morrison on Clear Creek with an outfitter like Adventure West. It’s a chill thrill with mountain scenery.
Catch Live Music at Red Rocks: Red Rocks Amphitheater is a must. I’m a huge music guy, doesn’t matter if it’s rock, indie, or EDM, the vibe there is pure magic. If there’s no concert, we’d walk the Trading Post Trail to soak in those iconic red rocks.
Winter Mountain Vibes: If it’s winter, we’re heading to Vail or Keystone Resort for some shredding on some of the best runs around. Not into shredding? No problem! We’d hit up snow tubing, maybe a dog sled ride?, or just vibe in the mountain towns.
Go to at a Sporting Event: Denver’s sports scene is electric. We’d grab tickets to a Colorado Rockies game at Coors Field, the Broncos at Empower Field, or catch the Nuggets or Avalanche at Ball Arena.
Explore the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo: I know zoos aren’t for everyone and I get it , but the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is next-level. Feeding giraffes with mountains in the background? It’s such a cool and unique experience.
Dive into Denver’s Art Scene: Meow Wolf, The Denver Art Museum and RiNo Art District are where it’s at for culture. The museum’s got everything from Native American art to wild modern pieces, and RiNo’s street murals are a vibe. It’s a great way to feel the city’s creative pulse.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow, where do I even start? The Shoutout series is such a cool way to pause and give props to the people who’ve had my back, lifted me up, and helped me become the person I am today. Success isn’t a solo act, it’s a team effort, and I’m so grateful for the incredible humans who’ve been part of my story.
On the professional side,
I’ve got to give a massive shoutout to Peter and Jillian, Doctors of Physical Therapy at Neuroscience and Spinal Associates in Naples, FL. They didn’t just give me an opportunity, they opened a door to a world of knowledge. I had the privilege of shadowing them as they worked their magic on top athletes and everyday citizens in our community. Watching them in action, I learned so much about the body and how to help people move better. That experience gave me the confidence to bring that wisdom into my training sessions (while staying in my scope of practice, of course).
And to my clients? You all deserve a standing ovation. Every single one of you has trusted me, shown up, and put in the work to transform your health and strength. Your dedication fuels me every day and I’m so honored to be part of your journey. Thank you for believing in me and making this work so rewarding.
Lastly, I want to Shoutout my gym I train out of, Rocky Mountain Flex Fitness! The people with in the RMFF community all have different talents and temperaments, and yes they are so inviting, genuine, and focused people I have worked with. At RMFF its all about self improvement, what ever that means to you. They care for my clients, members, staff, trainers, etc… and that at least makes me feel very honored to be apart of.
On the personal side,
I wouldn’t be here without my family and parents. Their love and support have been my foundation, cheering me on through every crazy idea and tough moment. I’m who I am because of them, no question.
My girlfriend, Scarlet, and her parents get a huge shoutout too. They’ve been my behind-the-scenes MVPs, helping make FlexFlow a reality with their endless encouragement and support. Scarlet’s belief in me keeps me going and her family’s love has been a game-changer.
And last but never least, my best friends! You know who you are. You guys are my people, always pushing me to be my best, calling me out when I need it, and showing up with love and support no matter what. We’re in this together, always.
To everyone I’ve mentioned and so many more, thank you. You’ve shaped my reality, my hustle, and my purpose. I’m beyond grateful to have you in my corner as we keep building, growing, and chasing what’s next.
