We had the good fortune of connecting with Luki Schultz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luki, what principle do you value most?
The aspect that I value most about having my own practice is being able to make my treatments accessible to all walks of life. I like people to know that I offer a comfortable and safe space to be treated in. I think that acupuncture and Chinese medicine, basically health care in an eastern approach is for everyone. Everyone deserves to feel nourished, healthy, and happy!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is chinese medicine, and herbal medicine. I do acupuncture and prescribe herbal formulas in the form of powders, teas, and tinctures. I have a background in botany and herbal medicine, so I do alot of medicine making and teach my patients about the herbs and how to use them. I feel like I try to teach patients to take their health into their own hands by educating about nutrition, herbal medicine, lifestyle choices. I am excited to be treating the communities that I have been apart of growing up which are artist, musicians, skateboarders. I offer priority treatment to queer and POC people, because I think that is important to me to offer the space to them ahead of others. I am grateful to be creating a business that helps people, because in turn it is helping my communities.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would go on a bike ride, eat at el taco de Mexico, and hangout in the park and draw or read.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize the herbal apothecaries and shops to helping me gain experience in running a business, and the support from the herbal/plant/spiritual communities for helping me gain the knowledge that I have today.
