We had the good fortune of connecting with Malory Wride and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Malory, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Undoubtedly (and unsurprisingly) human connection is the most important factor. The art I make draws inspiration from experiences I’ve had, and when I create something it’s normally from just my perspective. When I collaborate with someone, we are bringing two perspectives to life, and that gives the work a whole new dimension. Success to me looks like satisfied clients, and people love seeing their vision come to life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I come from two long lines of artists. When I create it’s not only as a form of my own self expression but an homage to all of the creatives that came before me. I honor my ancestors in my works of art. Getting to where I am today, took a lot of getting out of my own way! After many (many) self help books, I started telling myself “easier done than said” and that’s helped me move out of the overthinking stage. I want people to know that I make art to enjoy it, and that’s the energy that I hope it brings to others; enjoyment and a reminder that life’s too short to spend any other way.
