We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Albert-Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Oh gosh honestly, I actually never thought I would my own business! It was the previous owner/friend who believed in me (being a client, playgroup captain and instructor). She really gave me confidence, so I spoke with my husband and decided you know what, if don’t give this a try I would definitely regret it. Plus I love FIT4MOM Denver and wanted to keep it going especially after we have been in the community for 15 years!


Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

FIT4MOM offers pre and postnatal health, wellness, and fitness programs for every stage of motherhood. All of our programs were created by moms for moms to provide Strength in Motherhood.

Here at FIT4MOM DENVER we offer Strollers Strides which is a functional, total-body conditioning workout designed for moms with kids in tow. And Strides 360 which promises a heart-pumping workout designed to increase your endurance while also developing speed, agility, and quickness to help you sprint through mom life.

I think what sets us apart is our unique community we build together, getting our workout while outdoors, meeting mom friends, having the littles ones socialize after class, planned playgroups or field trips and let’s not forget Moms Night Out which we do once a month!


Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Stanley Market Place is the BEST!!!! It has over 50 small businesses under the same huge building…such as Stanley Beer Hall, Rosenbergs Bagels, Boutiques, Barber Shops, Yoga Studio, Sushi, Empanadas, Sweet Cow Ice Cream, Children’s Book Store, An Inclusive Playground and I could keep going on and on and on! Its a must go to when you are in Central Park Denver /North Aurora Area for SURE!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

Well definitely a Shoutout to Caren Lowe Elenowitz for believing and trusting me with taking on her FIT4MOM Denver franchise that she owned for 10 Years! And for always continuing to show love and support for us!

Shoutout to my Husband Ivan as well who is my biggest supporter and forever grateful for all his does for our family!
