We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Rendon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks has been a pivotal part of my journey. When I moved to Boulder from Colombia two years ago, I knew I wanted to create my own business. What I didn’t anticipate was having the courage to pivot from my personal strategic planning business to my true long-life passion: energy work. Coming from a corporate background, I worried that people might not take me seriously if I embraced a topic that some might consider taboo or controversial. However, moving to Boulder, with its progressive energy, empowered me to take the leap and fully commit to my calling.

Transitioning from strategic planning to becoming an energy healer for people, homes, and businesses was a significant risk, but it was also necessary to fulfill my vision. My ten years of experience in planning taught me to visualize outcomes and set long-term goals. Moving to a new place where nobody knew me gave me the freedom to reinvent myself and take risks without the constraints of others’ expectations. This journey has allowed me to align my inner energies with my external actions, bringing a sense of fulfillment and purpose that I had long sought.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am an energy healer for individuals, homes, and businesses. My mission is to elevate collective consciousness by helping individuals awaken to their energetic potential, igniting profound self-awareness, self-healing, and fulfillment.

What sets me apart is my unique blend of corporate and multicultural experience. Coming from a strategic planning background, I understand the corporate grind, the stress that many people face in that world, and the skepticism around energy work. My ability to offer services in English and Spanish allows me to connect with a diverse audience, understanding their belief systems and cultural contexts.

Transitioning from strategic planning to energy healing was a significant risk driven by my true passion. Moving to Boulder with its progressive energy, empowered me to take this leap. Overcoming the fear of not being taken seriously and shifting from a structured corporate environment to the more fluid world of energy healing wasn’t easy. I’ve learned that real fulfillment comes from aligning our inner energies with the universal flow, enhancing personal well-being and bringing harmony to ourselves and our environments.

I’ve achieved many material goals and understand the void that can come with feeling something is missing beyond material success. This understanding fuels my desire to help others find their missing piece.

One of the most significant lessons I’ve learned is the importance of authenticity. By staying true to myself and my calling, I’ve been able to connect with clients on a deeper level, helping them transform their lives. Another key lesson is the power of community. Surrounding myself with supportive and like-minded individuals has been crucial to my success.

Through Sana Providence, I aim to share the transformative power of energy healing with everyone, making it fun and easy to understand. My goal is to help each person awaken to their energy potential, achieve well-being and fulfillment, and share this with their own communities, creating a ripple effect. I want to demystify energy work, so that everyone can benefit from this inherent part of our nature that, although not taught in our modern world, has been with us since ancient times.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d start by surprising them with a sunrise hike at Chautauqua Park at 6 am, offering a breathtaking view of the sun rising over the plains. Afterward, we’d head to Trident Café and Bookstore on Pearl Street for tea or coffee and the best Golden Latte in the city, enjoying its cozy ambiance.

We’d then stroll down Pearl Street to admire the vibrant tulips (in spring and summer) and catch some incredible street performances by magicians and entertainers. A delicious lunch at Japango or another local restaurant would follow, and we’d top it off with some ice cream. Next, we’d walk along the Boulder Creek Path near the library for some fresh air and beautiful scenery.

A drive to Longmont for lunch at Rosario’s Peruvian Restaurant would be a must, to savor their exquisite ceviche and yuca frita. Then, we’d venture to Estes Park to explore Rocky Mountain National Park, soaking in the majestic views and wildlife.

Back in Boulder, we’d hit more local trails like Dry Creek Trail or Bobolink Trail with my two dogs, where they could splash in the creek and we could enjoy views of the Flatirons. We’d also check out Tilt Pinball comedy shows and have fun in their arcade. If it’s summer, we’d attend the local music festivals and enjoy the company of Boulder’s friendly and vibrant community.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I couldn’t have gotten this far without my amazing family, friends, mentors and the EforAll team. Their love and support have been my backbone. And of course, my Boulder community – your high-energy vibes and progressive spirit have been game-changers for me.
