We had the good fortune of connecting with Marie Decosse and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting NOMAD Travel Groups was driven by a desire to address a significant gap in the market for an equitable and affordable travel solution. As more professionals seek to travel frequently while managing their work commitments, I saw a clear need for a platform that could facilitate meaningful and cost-effective travel experiences. Traditional home exchange and travel options often failed to meet the needs of this dynamic generation, who value flexibility, community, and cost-efficiency.

I envisioned creating a service that would not only make travel more accessible but also foster a sense of belonging and connection among users. By focusing on inclusivity and building relationships within secure home exchange groups, NOMAD Travel Groups aims to fill this gap and provide a platform that aligns with the modern traveler’s needs. Our goal is to support frequent travelers in exploring new destinations affordably while enriching their experiences through a vibrant, supportive community.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At NOMAD Travel Groups, we’re redefining the home swapping experience with a unique approach that emphasizes community, inclusivity, and personalization. Unlike traditional home exchange platforms, NOMAD Travel Groups is designed to foster genuine connections among travelers by creating secure, relationship-based Travel Groups. This approach not only makes home swapping more accessible but also enhances the travel experience through a supportive and vibrant community.

What sets us apart is our focus on building meaningful relationships between members and providing a platform where every traveler feels valued and welcomed. We’ve created detailed profiles, robust communication tools, and a commitment to safety and support, ensuring that every exchange is smooth and satisfying. This dedication to a personalized, community-driven experience is something we’re incredibly proud of and excited to share with the world.

The journey to where we are today has been both challenging and rewarding. Starting NOMAD Travel Groups required overcoming numerous obstacles, from developing a user-friendly platform to building a strong community of early adopters. It wasn’t always easy, but the challenges taught us valuable lessons in resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying true to our vision.

One of the most significant lessons we’ve learned is the power of community and connection. Our experiences have reinforced the idea that travel is more enriching when it’s grounded in meaningful interactions and mutual support.

We want the world to know that NOMAD Travel Groups is more than just a home exchange platform—it’s a community built on trust, inclusivity, and a shared passion for discovery. Our mission is to make travel accessible and rewarding for everyone, and we’re excited to continue growing and evolving with our members.
