We had the good fortune of connecting with MARIO OLVERA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi MARIO, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea was kind of already established and needed a recalibration and better tending. So we took it on and hoped to keep moving forward with what was set in place from our teachers and first collaborators to keep providing a dope space for all movers and creators!
What should our readers know about your business?
MiChantli is a Xicano/Mexican owned dance studio. We are more focused on break dancing but offer a wide range of styles of dance. We strive to be an art and Movement sanctuary creating a space where dancers, creatives, artist and poets can come to perfect their craft. We hope to share and inspire others in the community. We focus on healing through creativity and movement. We promote social reintegration for their community healing and acknowledge the medicines in all the the styles of dance.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Mi Chantli is in a central location in the heart of Boulder. we are walking distance from the 29th St. mall, Scott Carpenter park and of course the Boulder creek, which would be our first choice as we love to be around more nature.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We dedicate this Shout out to all the movers and Groovers of the community that helped and supported us through our transitions, growth and development of our new business. And to those that continued to show love and support by their presence, their contributions and their words of encouragement, we thank you!
