We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Condon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mark, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I was thinking about starting my own business and my goals, it needed to be something that I was passionate about and enjoyed deeply. As a career hospitality manager, there were many responsibilities and a lot of stress, which was impacting my health. I made a commitment to take better care of myself by working in an area that I love -wine. The study of wine and the teaching of wine energizes me and brings me much fulfillment and meaning.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Vinodimarco! is a wine education and consulting business.
We bring stories into the glass of wine, telling our audience why wine taste the way it does, where it comes from and how it pairs with food. It is not a class. It’s a conversation it makes people think ooh that’s why I like this wine
Our customers are not just getting food and wine. They are getting food and wine in harmony.
Our customers walk away with a sharper pallet and maybe a new favorite grape or wine region and zero pressure. We make it approachable, not pretentious. We are full of stories from Vineyard legends to wild tasting room tales, and our passion is contagious and our humor is often charming. Our customers and audiences appear to bond over a shared sensory journey, whether there with friends or strangers the , wine becomes a social glue, sparking conversations and laughter. What we do is part tasting ,part storytelling and part entertainment, all wrapped around food and wine.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live on the western slope of Colorado and it is Colorado’s wine country. It has many outstanding wineries and restaurants much like Napa Valley or Sonoma. We would start at Stoney Mesa winery in Cedaredge Colorado and visit Bret and Tyrenne. We would tour the wine making facilities and learn how to make award-winning wine, we would finish out tour with a wonderful lunch in their tasting room. In downtown Cedaredge about 3 miles from Stoney mesa we would visit Sips on Main a beautiful wine bar and restaurant .Sips on Main carries an international wine list carefully curated by a team of wine experts. This particular restaurant has world-class cuisine and it is a must stop in Western, Colorado. Cedarege is also home to Snow Capped Cider an international award-winning cider company with its owner and cider maker Karrie Williams on hand to teach us the history of apples, the best apples for cider, and guiding us through the tasting of several world class ciders. To complete the adventure we would stop at Chill Switch winery, A winery that is 100% organic and does not add any fillers, flavors, or color to any of it’s Wine
We will learn how old world Wine making techniques yield the wine that is both flavorful and healthy

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I certainly have to credit the university of California Davis for my education in Wine. I also need to thank my major clients, Stoney Mesa Winery Sips on Main restaurant, and Snow Capped Cider Taproom.
