We had the good fortune of connecting with Marv Ellis 1/3 of Free Creatures and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marv Ellis, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
We all take risks everyday. Why not at least attempt to make it work w what you’re trying to manifest?
– Marv Ellis – Free Creatures
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We played 78 shows since last April 2021 and it’s July 21rst? So we’ve been playing non stop constantly trying to improve through adversity and traveling through the country. On stage you see 47 years of combined live show performance experience. All of us are self taught musicians w unique perspectives doing what we love.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My band mates work harder than anybody towards our unified dream. So I’d have to shout them out first. Obviously my wife who plays with me is the ultimate teammate. And Skyler, Our self-taught upside down left-handed guitar player/ brother, would receive praise first. then I’d have to shout out our Family for watching the farm every time we leave town to chase our dreams. The people that recognize what we’re doing is different and special, and then ask what they can do to support the movement and our vision. All the promoters that believe in us and bring us to their home to show us to their friends with pride. And obviously all the pain that got us here today, for without it we would not be who we are.
