Meet Matt Scoletti | Keynote Speaker, Podcast Host, Event Emcee

We had the good fortune of connecting with Matt Scoletti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matt, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The principle of Challenges Build Champions. This means the most to me because all of my successes in life have come on the back of some sort of challenge.
Without challenges, and without voluntarily putting ourselves in challenging situations, we will never reach our full potential. This concept has helped me start my own business, get speaking gigs, get paid to emcee events, and have success in hosting adventure camps across the country.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve always been afraid of public speaking ever since a 5th grade speech gone wrong. I also always respected speakers because they can have some a huge impact on the audience if they find ways to connect with them.
I struggled with public speaking for years through Toastmasters, giving free speeches, and continuing to get back up when I’d panic, screw up, and give horrible speeches.
Finally, in 2023, I won the Division of the International Speech Contest through Toastmasters, got booked to speak many times, and landed many gigs as an event emcee in 2024-Present.
What sets me apart from others is…I don’t speak to look good on stage. I don’t emcee because I want people to know me. I do it to pour into other people. I do it to add value to other incredible humans who may need to hear my message at that time. I used to think of myself as I spoke, that led nowhere. Now, I’m completely focused on my audience and what they need to hear.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a huge fan of pushing limits while having fun! Most likely the itinerary would be to get up early and get a workout in. Most likely a trail run in one of the parks in Colorado Springs. Then, it would be grabbing a healthy breakfast at a coffee shop or making it at home. I’d work most of the day and then take my friend out to see a local band play live music, or go for a hike, and definitely do the Manitou Incline multiple times during the stay. Depending on the time of year, I’d take him to Pikes Peak, either by hiking all the way up or the Cog Train. I don’t drink alcohol so it would be a very healthy, fun, and energetic trip. I’d also take him to my F3 workout group, Chamber of Commerce event, and introduce him to some of the amazing humans here in the Springs.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my father, Michael Scoletti, and a mentor of mine Chris Johnson.
My Dad is my idol and lived life as the most generous, humble, hard working businessman and philanthropist that I’ve ever seen. He taught me how to treat people, be positive, and live life to the max! I’m forever grateful and I just got to give a speech to honor him at my last event.
A mentor of mine named Chris Johnson, who’s a health and wellness expert helped coach me into healthy living in 2011. I realized I needed to get sober in order to live the life I wanted and Chris believed in me before I believed in myself. Incredible human.
