We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Riley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, what matters most to you?
My values all matter to me, and I review my values and goals 2 times a week.

My life grows and expands the more I give myself in service. For many years I didn’t understand service as anything other than volunteer work. What has changed over time is the ability to contribute, not help.

Every time I can be a contribution, either in my professional life, my fellowships, my service agreements and in my personal life; my life expands. I grow and learn and expand.

As long as I am being of service everything else falls into line for me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve been doing this a long time. When I first started my business, it was just me, offering psychic readings at psychic fairs and fundraisers. I grew quickly, had several media mentions the business grew.

In the beginning I was doing love readings, animal communication, talking to deceased loved ones, finding lost animals, even cold cases. I did it all and I loved it.

20 years later,
I teach Intuitive Development,
I mentor empathic small business owners on how to thrive without selling their soul,
and have found a knack for assisting men and women heal from nasty, obsessive break-ups.

How did I get here? By my own healing. Learning the difference between intuition and trauma guiding my relationships. By making mistakes, lots of them, and then trying again.
I would think that I found a niche, and focus on that niche, and move onto another.

I love working with empaths, being one myself, and everything we put ourselves through. The empath can feel EVERYTHING. Natural disasters, angry customers, or just a grumpy person at the grocery store. Life can seem overwhelming.
When the empath wants to start a business, the desire is to be of service, and yet the world is overwhelming.

What’s possible for the business owner is that they learn their specific gifts to share with the world, and how to do so, make a living, have a work/life balance, and have healthy relationships. It really is possible.

I made so many mistakes. I made bad hires, and held onto them too long. I hired bad coaches, and didn’t let them go right away. I made risky investments. Every-time I would get back up and keep going. I just didn’t give up.

I’ve also been blessed to have many of the same clients most if not the whole time I’ve been in business. Luckily, no matter what new idea I was trying, these people trusted me to keep working with me. For that I am eternally grateful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting and she had never been here, we would have a blast. One of the things I love about the parks, and the architecture.

First we would hit all the parks and the surrounding neighborhoods. We would eat at Watercourse, City O City, have vegan sushi from Nooch market (vegan sushi!) We would preprare picnics and eat in the parks.

And, every morning for 6am Crossfit Class at my favorite gym, Kali Strength; a women’s gym in Denver. Every morning 🙂

Since I’m new to Denver within the last 14 months I would take her to the mountains and some of my favorite trails in Nederland and Rollinsville. Panoramic Views, watch the sunsets hike as much as we wanted.

The week wouldn’t be complete without dancing, she’s even a professional dancer; for my deadhead soul we would see a show at So Many Roads Brewery, the premier deadhead bar in Denver.

Trips to Tattered Cover, Downpours coffee for the coldbrew, shade and reading in the afternoon, and trips up to boulder to see some friends.

I actually do have a friend coming next month, this question planned her trip!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have so many mentors, coaches, supporters and team members. If I were to dedicate my shoutout to someone it would be my spiritual teacher and Guru, H. H Sai Maa
