We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
This is a hard question, After over 20 years of working in the car audio industry for other shops that were strictly quantity over quality. I wanted to give my customers a different experience, I want every customer to leave happy and feel confident about their purchase and work done on their vehicles. It’s pretty gratifying to hear a customer that just walked into my shop tell me how good the reviews are and how nice the shop looks.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I do a wide range of work on cars, trucks, boats, atv’s , motorcycles and more. And this ranges from the simplest installs to full custom fabrication. This small business stuff is definitely not easy and starting your business a month or two before a Pandemic makes it even harder. So after a little over 2 years in business I’m really just proud to say I’m still here and moving forward. With the struggles aside, it really makes it worth it to see how far my business has came. From moving from our first location in wheat ridge after our first year. To how far the new denver location has come in a short time. We are excited about a new piece of machinery we are adding this month.. we ordered a cnc so we can fabric even better parts and take our custom installations to the next level and better serve our customers. We take the utmost pride in the work we do and we just want every customer to leave happy with their vehicles and the work that we did for them. Best thing to hear from a customer is (that’s exactly what I was looking for.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a really hard question. I have so many favorite spots in Colorado. I would definitely take them to a few of my favorite spots to ear. First I would say lunch at la fiesta on 24th and champagne, maybe some steak at columbine steak house. Have to take them to one of the many hot springs in colorado.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a small circle of friends/family that have supported me along the way and that also helped pushed me to open my own shop
