We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Hills and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, what do you attribute your success to?
-Hard work. Obviously smart- but hard. -Take risk. Calculated risks.
-Stay in your lane. Know what you’re good at and keep doing it.
-Simplify as much as possible. Humans tend to over complicate things.
-Ignore the sayers of Neigh. Block out the bad stuff.
That should be a good start!
What should our readers know about your business?
I run a salary based real estate brokerage. We’ve tried to eliminate the parasitic nature of brokerage- which is the way it’s currently set up. And I mean from Broker to Agent and then from Agent to Client.
I also focus on the long term- and not what most Americans think of as long term. I’m talking the next 20 years, not the next 2.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would pick them up from the airport. We’d go back to my place and have a cocktail. Hang out, relax and re-connect. Then we’d do a pub crawl of sorts. Go to my favorite restaurants and have 1 drink or 1 cocktail so we can see a bunch of different things. And usually, when I do something like this, there’s a large event it’s centered around: Broncos game, big concert, skiing the Rockies etc.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Wife My mom and dad
My kiddos!
