We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Brodeur and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michelle, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The single most important decision I’ve made that has contributed to my success is my decision to join SHE Leads Group, an all-women leads group in the Denver area. SHE stands for Supporting Heart and Enterprise, and that is exactly what this group does. Before joining SHE Leads Group, I was a member of two other networking groups, and it felt like every meeting was the same—surface-level niceties and me left feeling inauthentic and socially awkward. With SHE, from day one, I felt like part of a kind, compassionate, supportive family who wants to see me and my business succeed. I became a chapter president because I believe so much in the power of SHE. It is, without a doubt, a massive part of my personal and professional success.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own Magic by Michelle LLC, a home decluttering and organizing business that focuses on helping women live more simply and reduce the day-to-day stress caused by a surplus of items in the home. I love helping women reclaim their space and transform their home into an energy giver (not taker) through the power of decluttering and organizing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Beth Boen, the founder and leader of SHE Leads Group, absolutely deserves a little credit and recognition in my story. Beth is bubbly, kind, compassionate and truly cares for each of the women in SHE Leads Group. She has an innate ability to see potential in someone and help shape them into a better leader and a better human. After two weeks of being in the West Littleton chapter of SHE Leads Group, Beth challenged me to consider the role of chapter president. My initial reaction was to say “thanks, but no thanks” because I didn’t think I was capable of such a role, but Beth gave me the confidence to give it a shot. It’s been amazing for me—I get the opportunity to work on my leadership and public speaking skills at every meeting—and it’s also been great for my business.
