We had the good fortune of connecting with Micky Meyer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Micky, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I just really wanted to see change in my industry. I wanted to bring something better to my community.

What should our readers know about your business?
We host reptile expos across the country. We also have started branching out into our own retail shops with our growing product line. What sets us apart from others is that we really focus on the well being of the animals and our customers. We believe in trying to educate new and existing reptile keepers. I got where I am today by working hard and being consistent. It is not easy you just have to try to be smart and keep pushing forward. I have learned a lot of great lessons one that comes most to mind is just trust yourself and stick to your boundaries.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a bad question. Im usually buried in work. I would most likely suggest visiting the zoo and the botanical gardens here in St.Louis. We may go out o dinner at a sports bar or sushi.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There have been a lot of people that have helped along the way. I am thankful for them all.
