We had the good fortune of connecting with Montana Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Montana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I really wanted to create a space where families could receive the care they need. It was important to me to utilize a slower model so that women in particular could benefit through the entirety of their motherhood journey. There is so much to unpack there and so much to honor! I also wanted to work with my partner, Jacob, to meet the needs of not only whole families, but people with chronic conditions who need a slower model as well. I specialize in women’s health, fertility, pediatrics & internal medicine while Jacob specializes in pain management, neurological conditions & male fertility. So, of course, we envisioned bringing our skills together to treat a full spectrum of people from fertility to families to autoimmune conditions who are in need of a more comprehensive model to really get to the root of the issue. We truly are a family-centered business founded on care and authenticity.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Glenn Fertility & Family Wellness was born out of the desire to meet people in need where they are at and give them the care we would hope to receive ourselves. Our practice is comprehensive, utilizing many modalities to help people feel their best and achieve their goals. We are very proud of our ability to maintain a method of practice that allows us to treat people in extremely effective ways without bringing harm. We truly are able to uphold the physician’s oath of doing no harm while treating severe, “stubborn” cases that often no one else has been able to impact. We truly believe in our ability to help people who don’t quite “fit in the box” and were willing to put all of our money into starting this practice to make our dream a reality. We started with 1 room and then quickly acquired a 2nd room and the front desk in our office suites. 2 years later we had added 2 more rooms and 1 year after that we added the 5th and final room. We are now four years into GFFW and it just feels beyond incredible how this space and practice have come together to uphold our dream. If we could tell the world one thing about who we are, it would be that we truly ARE the practitioners that get to the underlying root or WHY of whatever issue ails you. We take pride in setting an example of true kindness for our 6 year old daughter and feel honored to help those in need of our services.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We live in Fort Collins and love to take people to places like Ace Gillet’s, Blue Agave Grill. Hearth, Chimney Park & The Mill. We also LOVE Dark Heart Coffee in Loveland. Ideally, we would be able to take our friends up to Estes Park to eat at our favorite restaurant Bird & Jim, drive through and/ or hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and maybe get dessert at The Stanley. We also love to hike in Lory State Park and Horsetooth Reservoir as well and would likely take friends there after having breakfast at Me Oh My Pie in Laporte. If friends are visiting in the winter we will try to ski at WinterPark, Loveland, Arapahoe Basin or even Snowy Range. If they don’t ski then we might go up the Poudre to a little place a dear patient introduced to to go snowshoeing. If we had lots of time, we might go to Glennwood Hot Springs or Steamboat Springs to Strawberry Hot Springs. If we have the opportunity to camp and hike in the summer, we love going to Estes Park and up the Poudre River to Grey Rock and some of our favorite places near Cameron Pass. So many beautiful & magical places in Colorado!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We owe so much of our success to those who have mentored us and helped us get to where we are–our mutual mentor Shan Liang in Sarasota, FL, my ultimate mentor, Jennifer Carey-Prescott at Thank-You Mama and our business mentor, Chris Axelrad. And while we are so so grateful for that guidance, we could not have grown and come to thrive the way we have without the support of Karen and Joshua Glenn, Jacob’s parents. They have unconditionally supported us and seen us through every stage of building this wellness center up. We cannot thank them enough.
