We had the good fortune of connecting with Nai’a Aplaca and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nai’a, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
If you are thinking about giving up, keep going. It may seem like it’s not going anywhere, but persistence is key. You don’t want to spend your life wondering what if. So keep going. I promise it will all pay off in the long run.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I currently work as a repair manager. I run a team of technicians and we fix cellphones. It’s crazy that I look back to when I first started and see how far I have come. I could not fix anything when I first started and now I run the repair department for my store.

I am a creator on the side. I love posting my outfits, my makeup looks, and filming about my travels. I have so much fun being a content creator because I get to share my insights with the world. Being a content creator gives me a chance to show who I am in a unique way. The biggest lesson I learned is to not think about the what if. Just jump in. The journey you have along the way is so worth it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am from Hawai’i so in this scenario, I am the best friend. I stayed at Snow Mountain Ranch at the Silver Sage lodge. If you’re looking to get away from everyday city life and want to go into a real-life Bob Ross painting, I definitely recommend this place. They have so many activities, such as horseback riding, archery, water rafting, summer tubing and so much more. I spent a lot of time exploring and skating at the rec center. They also offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This place is a perfect getaway and seeing snow on the mountains for the first time in my life was an experience I will never forget.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There is one person that has made a huge impact on my life. My boyfriend Edwen. He has always been there for me and has supported me in all my endeavors. I am a much better person because of him. He produces his own music and recently just launched his own small business clothing line. His music page is @impatrickspacey and his clothing brand is @_iris.x.iris_. I couldn’t be more proud of him and I can’t wait to see him succeed.
