We had the good fortune of connecting with Nichole Wardle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nichole, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
There is a lot about the event rental business in general that people outside of the industry don’t understand. I’d say a few that come to mind immediately are: (1) it is a sustainable option in itself as by renting you are helping to reduce consumer waste after the event is over, (2) event rental companies are much more than just the product. We are experts on event logistics, we have long standing relationships with planners, producers, designers, caterers, venues and hotels so we have our pulse on the entire industry on a daily basis and in most cases we are the behind-the-scenes fixer of almost anything that could go wrong the day of the event, (3) we are product obsessed.
Just speaking to linen alone our team travels the world to work one-on-one with our textile partners to finetune designs and colors. We search far and wide to source and procure unique and high-quality linen rental options. Our linens undergo a rigorous in-house testing process where we measure shrinkage, durability, fading, stain resistance, and more, ensuring the linen rental lines we bring in are of the highest quality.
We take our manufacturing seriously. Most of our linens are manufactured in-house by our dedicated and talented team of sewing artisans. This allows us to customize each piece based on the results of our testing process and ensures all our table linens are held to the same high standards. When you are selecting a Reverie Social linen you are truly supporting the craft and passion of real people.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We understand the importance of creating unforgettable experiences for our clients and we know that the details matter. Our team is made up of experienced professionals with a passion for event design and hospitality. With decades of combined experience in the live events industry, retail, logistics and shipping, our team founded Reverie Social with the purpose of pushing the boundaries of event design by offering gorgeous, luxury linen rentals to clients across the country.
Is it challenging? Yes. Is it worth it? Definitely! For everyone involved the challenge of executing vision, product sourcing, securing strategic operational partnerships, pushing our team for even higher greatness, attracting experienced staff from major brands, staying on top of the latest and greatest technology, and studying event and fashion trends (to name a few) are what push us to get keep getting better. We are constantly looking at our obstacles when it comes to customer experience, efficiency, and ease of doing business, so improvement is expected and encouraged.
It’s hard work for a small team but when you stop to remember that we are creating unforgettable experiences and jaw dropping moments for someone’s life long memory that’s a pretty high honor.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh this question is so unfair. haha! We work with such a mix of professionals in Denver from celebrities, planners, caterers, hotels and venues so I can’t pick just one. Prior to Reverie Social my career was in unique and boutique venues, members clubs and hotels so I have to say I love a stay and the vibe at The Ramble Hotel. While you are there; Death and Company and Super Mega Bien is a must visit. You can’t go wrong with Four Seasons Denver and Edge Steakhouse. Concerts are my thing so if you can go a few miles outside of the city Red Rocks has held a special place in my heart for as long as I can remember. Even sitting in silence to meditate on nonconcert hours is heaven on earth. Looking forward to Lord Huron in May 2024!
Our team loves to escape to Vail and Aspen as well. We’ve done some great planner photoshoots in the most special places there. The first place that pops in my head is Little Nell. This property is right out of a novel for me. They too obsess about details and guest experience. I often daydream about snowy off days there to stay and play.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Reverie Social was created by party people for party people. This business started as a conversation around a small round table of women who had a vision of wanting to bring deep levels of design and quality to the tabletop that almost emulated the fashion industry. The goal is to get fine textiles on tables across the United States, not only in the event space but in people’s homes for their most celebrated events. Shout out goes to all of the women also at that table who quickly brought this dream to a reality and built the best team possible around them: Alica Lessing, Kristen Rollins, Colby Radomski, Stefanie Skelley and Jennifer Gullins. Surrounding yourself with likeminded goal-oriented people does wonders for your inspiration, motivation, and creativity.
