We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Cavarra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“To Whom much is given, much is required.” Luke 12:48 and “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, the best you can.” Colossians 3:23

I love them both because they remind me that the talents, knowledge, discipline, opportunities, etc, that have been given to me by the Lord, are to be used wisely and to benefit others. To pay it forward so
to speak and to bless others with those things that I have been entrusted with.

Those words have always been words that have driven me and encouraged me, even when life was hard. I have always come back to that purpose and that direction and believed if I set my sails in that direction, I would find my place and purpose.

What should our readers know about your business?
GOLFit with Nicole Cavarra is a culmination of a lifelong journey and experience of sports, competition learning and coaching. From my days as a child with my dad watching and learning, to playing multiple sports at an elite level, to collegiate sports, to racing after college and to bringing together all the aspects of life and sport to culminate into helping people become better versions of themselves on and off the golf course, it has been quite a journey. I have learned more through my failures, disappointments, injuries and knock-downs than there is space to write, but all of those have made me a better person, athlete and coach for others.

GOLFit is not only about golf instruction made simpler and more natural/athletic, it’s about learning to be mindful about your own journey and experience, accepting how you show up each day and setting goals and believing you can understand more, learn more, and just become a better person. Really, learning more about yourself, your body and your golf swing, just makes most people enjoy life and golf more, and that is what make me happy and makes GOLFit and my training and coaching successful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I haven’t lived in the city of Denver for 22+ years so I am a bit out of touch with the hot spots. But I do love all the professional Sports we have from the Broncos to the Avs and Rockies. Attending sporting events or concerts and downtown restaurants and walking in LoDo, never disappoints.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
100% my family, specifically my parents. The time and dedication they gave to our family and all they sacrificed to give us opportunities…wow, I can’t imagine how they did it. My parents never missed a game, a practice or an opportunity to give me a shot at what I was passionate about. I loved sports and the outdoors and if I was interested in basketball, they got me there, to the best coaches, gyms on snowy days, extra gym sessions on weekends or Sundays, basketball hoops at the yard, etc. They did this for all my sports and all us kids. They supported our passion with passion and love and support. They were tough and disciplinary parents, but gave us so much love and support, I could never thank them enough. My brothers were my biggest competition, my best friends and my best supporters. My dad was a football coach and I spent a or of time with him at the gym, in the gym, on the court, on the course, learning how to lead people and inspire them…that came from my dad 100%, he was the best coach and inspired kids and young men from all walks of life. It was my privilege to have had him as an example and seen him coach.
