We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Nappi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I personally decided to pursue a creative career because I found out I’m creative and I love being creative! I spent a long time not thinking I was creative at all. I actually have 2 degrees in accounting. So as an accountant, I feel over time I got lumped into the “not a creative” category. But once I realized how good it felt to use my creative muscle, I knew it’s what I needed to spend more of my time doing! I honestly can’t believe I spent so many years not being creative or thinking I wasn’t.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So I own a healing business and mainly focus on creating/ writing meditations and courses to help others heal. I focus on creating EFT Tapping Meditations but create guided meditations as well. EFT stands for emotional freedom technique and is a fast way to move energy through your body while tapping and talking yourself through an issue. I love the writing process and it makes me feel so good to know I am helping others! I mainly create audio content that can be replayed but also do live meditations where I connect with groups of people. I feel that I have a very soft but organized approach to what I do and it puts others at ease! I personally do what I do because it’s helped me so much in my life! EFT Tapping helped me to work through some major driving anxiety I had after getting into 3 car accidents! That’s why I want to spend my time sharing the helpful things I’ve learned with others! I’m mostly proud that I’ve been able to put myself out there because that has been the hardest part for me! Especially when imposter syndrome comes up! But I just keep doing it! It has NOT been easy but I have felt such a calling to do what I’m doing so I’ve kept on. Along the way, I’ve learned not to rely on outside help and guidance more then your own. Only you can know what is best for you and your business! Also, I’ve learned not to take advice from people who I’m not envious of. If you’t aspire to have your life or business to be similar to theirs, don’t follow their advice.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So I live outside of Baltimore and not to far from DC. I would definitely take my friend hiking at some of my favorite trails! This includes some of the trails near gunpowder falls and the Susquehanna river! I also would take my friend to some of the best gluten free restaurants in the area as well as some of the best coffee shops! I personally love coffee coffee in bel air and baked and wired in Georgetown! I love a nice coffee shop! Also some of my favorite activities are bowling, mini golf and the batting cages so I would make sure we hit one of those up! Maybe even some bingo because I love bingo!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Alex deserves a shout out in my journey to entrepreneurship! When I didn’t believe in myself and doubted what I could do, he always believed in me. He has always know what I was capable of, even when I didn’t. I’m so thankful for his support!
