We had the good fortune of connecting with Nidhi Rai and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nidhi, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I think being consistent every day has really helped me come far. There are days when I feel unmotivated, but I keep reminding myself that consistency is key. Showing up for myself is important because it adds up in the long run. Social Media success is all about pushing relatable content relentlessly. That’s what I have been doing for a very long time now. And I feel this habit has helped me the most.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is Nidhi Rai. I make comic content on Instagram about real-life mostly motherhood and marriage. I am proud of the content that I generate which my audience finds relatable. When I get messages on Instagram saying I make them laugh or make their day with my videos I feel a sense of purpose like never before. The major challenge in any creative field is to have the creative juices flowing. There are days when life happens and you feel down -what do you do on those days? That is the hardest part. Being on social media means you are sharing a huge part of your life with your audience and when you don’t, people reach out to ask what is going on. And you need to be honest with your audience even when you might not want to. Balancing this has been a challenge for me. Still learning to set healthy boundaries between real life and reel life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Colorado is a beautiful state with a lot of outdoorsy stuff to do. I love Colorado in the summer/fall season because of the weather and colors. I would definitely take them to visit the Rocky Mountains, Colorado Springs, and Aspen to enjoy the beauty of this state.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who contribute to your success directly or indirectly. But I want to mention a few here today –

My husband, Mohit has been so supportive throughout. When you see a person succeed in the outside world you just see the smiles and good moments. But the real work is happening behind the scene over the years. My husband has seen me frustrated, angry, disappointed, and happy when I hit that milestone. My daughter is my reason to do better every day because I want to be a good example for her. My parents have instilled this unshakeable confidence in me that makes me believe that I can achieve anything in life.
