Meet Nikki Kucharski | Nikki Needles” Acupuncturist & Sound Therapist”

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Kucharski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nikki, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Santa Clarita, California! I was homeschooled my whole life, and my mom is a chiropractor, so I grew up going to the office with her. I was raised in a way where naturopathic medicine was the norm and western medicine was not as often used. So “alternative” medicine just makes sense to me!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
During the pandemic I was managing a large high end jewelry store, and I remember the fear I had when I was furloughed and my store was shut down. I turned heavily to yoga and meditation in such a time of uncertainty. I started to wonder what more I could do and how I might be able to help others, when acupuncture came to my mind. I went to an acupuncturist for several years to work on my TMJ, and reached out to her to find out how she got started. Little did I know there was a small school for acupuncture and herbology in Sand Springs Oklahoma, just 30 minutes away from me. I had the pleasure of learning under Tim Williamson, a wise and truly gifted acupuncturist and teacher. During my schooling I continued practicing sound therapy and held several group sound bath sessions a month across the tulsa area! Spreading the word about a type of medicine that’s not very well known, while planting the seeds for my acupuncture business to grow!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Tulsa is a city of hidden gems. I love visiting the Philbrook museum or going skateboarding down riverside. Checking out the art deco architecture of downtown, and exploring all the local shops. There is so much creativity in this city, you just have to know where to find it!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom, Dr. Debbie Kucharski, deserves all the credit in the world. She is an incredibly gifted healer with her works in chiropractic, naturopathy, essential oils, and so much more. She truly instilled a natural healing mindset in me, as well as a business mindset. I think of myself as a legacy in a way and I’m honored to carry on all the knowledge she’s given me in my own special way with acupuncture and sound therapy.
