We had the good fortune of connecting with Norris Golberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Norris, what do you attribute your success to?
One word. Relationships. I would not have been able to start my practice from scratch but keep it thriving through COVID, less than 2 years into business without relationships. Now that the community is moving in the right direction with COVID our practice is seeing some major growth, and again I attribute this to relationships I’ve made and continue to make in the community. Our community knows, likes, and trusts me, and that’s something I really cherish.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m very different from other chiropractors and most healthcare professionals in that my goal is to help get your problems corrected naturally but ultimately see patients less and less over time. Less is more with my approach. But I didn’t start out this way, I used to try to be everything to everyone, which ultimately is impossible and will only lead to burnout. The transition from more to less was not easy, and I even questioned myself along the way several times. Luckily I have some great mentors to look up to and I could say without a doubt, I was to be like them and that’s why I’m going through this hard transition in my professional career. The biggest lesson is that I can’t be all things to all people. I’ll actually be able to make a bigger impact as a specialist than a generalist. The biggest thing I want people to know, and really the philosophy behind the shift I made professionally and my current practice focus is that our bodies are truly amazing, we just have to give them a chance to do what they are designed to do, be healthy! The key is to find as an individual what do you need to add or remove from your current life to make that happen.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The perfect visit would include a concert at red rocks, some great hikes in Boulder, and of course our endless breweries and restaurants in Boulder (sorry I’m biased to Boulder over Denver based on my location)
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many, I really have trouble giving credit to just one thing. The people that keep me pursuing success in all areas of life are my wife (Amy) and Daughter (Scottie). My commitment to excellence spawns from them, trying to be the best husband and father possible, but also the best chiropractor and entrepreneur possible to build the life of our dreams.
