We had the good fortune of connecting with Pam Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pam, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
When I was younger my parents would treat me to all types of creative outlets. Anything from lock and loop to coloring and drawing . My junior high art teacher made me see more sides to creating . We did news paper mache , painting , tissue paper glass windows . I am currently a hair stylist on a year leave . Thanks to my husband who is an instructor. I still love to dabble with all types of arts and crafts . More watercolor , acrylic paint pours as well as crochet.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a hairstylist but with this profession you need to be creative . My work puts on a challenge , to makeover a model of our choice . I’m not great with the camera or social media, but I’m trying and have a fabulous team to help !!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would say crested butte , we would have to find a cool Airbnb eat dinner at one of the many restaurants check out all the art galleries . Definitely would have to bring a fishing rod and get a fishing license. Some fish that come out of the Gunnison river are huge . We’d probably have to take a trip out to lake city !! Breath taking views , roads that are canopied by trees . The black canyon is definitely a highlight to and the little store just outside the park has beautiful placemats/purses / cute tourist wares . The charm might even be the chickens running around out front !

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All my friends and family . Not just one person helps to make you who you are . I have had a few teachers inspire me two in particular mrs Travis my jr high art teacher as well as my high school drama teacher. Kevin my husband has always incoraged my creativity. We usually have paint date nights on fridays !
