We had the good fortune of connecting with Pascal Faurie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pascal, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Integrity. Acting honestly and in alignment with my values is crucial for building and maintaining relationships, and doing work that I’m proud of. Whether it’s creating music, teaching music, or setting up instruments, It’s important to me that I fully stand by the work I’ve done.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I play bass in Source. We’re an independent, national touring Hard Rock and Metal band. Music has been my artistic focus and passion. So I moved to Colorado at the end of 2020 to pursue my dreams of joining a band, creating art, and touring the country. Source has been amazing for me. I have built a community of friends and fans all across the country, and I have even begun a side project in collaboration with numerous other artists that should release next year.
The skills I’ve developed in the band have also landed me a day job managing entertainment and security at a night club. So I now have a day job I love as well as the band. Though eventually I would like to make music my primary source of income. On the side I offer guitar and bass setups as well as functional music lessons.
I also have a long history of land management working for the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and various state and city agencies. I like working hard and getting my hands dirty.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Any of the less heavily trafficked forest trails, Meow Wolf, Pearl St. Mall, and Drum City Guitar Land haha.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My siblings, they are my closest friends and greatest role models.
