We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul & Angela Johnston and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul & Angela, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We are not a business we are a research team who go all over the United States seeking answers to the mysteries of the universe. We are into paranormal investigating, ufos, cryptids, portals, etc. We calibrate with teams from all over the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As Enigmatic Explorers we research and investigate paranormal activity in business’ and homes across the United States. We assist teams all over the world with finding and debunking evidence. We also explore the woods and backcountry for any evidence of cryptids; such as Bigfoot, Dogman, and Wendigos. We have spent weeks backpacking deep in the mountain forests in search of these creatures. Spending countless hours, lots of money on equipment; to prove or disprove their existence. One thing we learned on this journey is patience, things don’t always happen when you want them too. What we do is not like the tv shows would lead you to believe, we spend hours upon hours sitting in dark rooms in locations where paranormal activity is claimed. We spend even more time looking over videos for evidence and listening to audio recordings. When in the woods it is the same thing, a waiting game. We search for hair samples, footprints, and markings. As we set up camp in the evenings we are quietly listening for unique sounds.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would treat our best friends to a wonderfully haunted night of investigating. We would drive over to Cripple Creek, Colorado and get a room at the very haunted Hotel St. Nicholas. We would also book the Cripple Creek Outlaw and Lawmen Jail for the night so they can experience first hand some of the activities that go on in both places. Afterwards we would take drive up Pikes Peak for we can show off it’s spectacular views. We would take them to the Garden of the Gods and let them stand in the place known for it’s mysterious vortex. Afterwards, we would take them on a city tour of Denver telling them all the ghost stories in town including Cheesman Park, which use to be a cemetery with a truly horrific story. We would then take them out to Medicine Bow at a secret location where they are guaranteed to see some moose!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out the the grandkids Colton, Landon, Delilah, Savannah, and the future little Grayson. We love and miss very much. And our six children who support us one hundred percent.
