We had the good fortune of connecting with Pavanjeet and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pavanjeet, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Integrity is the most important factor behind my success. My offerings are rooted in my own personal experience of yoga. What I teach is the wellspring of the vitality and peace that comes from my own daily practice. We are inundated with information these days. When someone lives and embodies the teachings people can feel it and want to be close to it.

I’ve used these teachings to address my own stress, anxiety, depression, addictions and trauma. Each student has to put in their own effort and commitment but the power of yoga, breath-work, meditation and sound to support positive change is truly magical.

After everything closed in 2020, I had no classes and no prospects. However my home practice had me at ease and high-spirited. It felt criminal to not share this magic. This desire to share with others burst from me into the classes, workshops, and courses I lead today. I’m in constant awe at the transformation I see in myself and others.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What I offer is quite unique. I am one of only a handful of Kundalini Yoga teachers in Colorado and one of a few gong artists in the Boulder/Denver area. I am proud to keep the yoga I teach in its purest form while offering a contemporary understanding. I love getting to laugh at the greatest of life’s mysteries as I navigate them with students.

I pair yoga, breath-work and meditation with potent astrological moments to create ceremonies of deep transformation. I offer tools and techniques to break through the stress and noise to find the vitality and peace.

What I want the world to know is – everything you’re searching for is already inside of you. Whatever feels like it’s missing is here. Yoga, breath-work and meditation are potent tools for remembering wholeness. Most businesses want to sell you something. I want to sell you on yourself. You are inherently brilliant and resilient. This yoga helps to clear the blocks keeping you from your self-authority and knowing your inner potential.

I don’t think of attracting or retaining clients. I offer what’s worked for me through weekly yoga classes, meditation courses, ceremonial workshops, in-depth trainings, yoga in the park, free YouTube classes and more. Then I get to witness courageous seekers show up for themselves. I am honored to cheer them on as they break out of their shells and bloom into their inherent vibrancy.

I’m proud to be a queer person with my own business rooting for authenticity and doing it successfully.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend is visiting Boulder, we’re definitely going on a hike. Green Mountain from Gregory Canyon for the super athletic, Flatirons Vista (sunny) or Ann U White (shady) for the elevation-impacted and around the base of Chautauqua from Four Pines Trail for a moderate hike. For food we’re headed out to Layfayette for Ras Kassa and their amazing Ethiopian veggie platter. In the evening probably head over to Tonic for dessert, a mocktail and spoondrop shots. If they’re around on a Sunday and ready to get groovy, we’ll go to Movement Mass at Avalon Ballroom.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Dr. Shanti Shanti Kaur Khalsa, founding director of the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine and Humanology, is a living saint to me – and I don’t say that lightly. Her Yoga Therapy program emerged from her compassion and dedication to treating people with AIDs when there was no treatment. Having her as a teacher and mentor has ignited my passion to serve and share. Every class and mentoring session with Shanti Shanti I gain gems of knowledge that rekindle my love of yoga and how to share it with more capability.
