We had the good fortune of connecting with Peter Sandrib and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Peter, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk is an inherent part of any significant decision-making process, and I view risk as a potential opportunity rather than simply just a threat. My intended approach to risk involves careful assessment, weighing potential rewards against possible downsides, and making informed decisions, but this amount of detailed planning cannot be used in all cases. Oftentimes, risk is the intrinsic result of a gut reaction or spontaneous decision. I sometimes think back to choices made regarding life and work, and equally appreciate the moments where I did not put much thought into a plan or process, as much as the times where I had a plan and clear assessment.
In my personal life, taking risks has allowed me to grow and experience new opportunities. Moving to a new city while starting a new career was a significant risk. However, it taught me resilience, adaptability, and ultimately led to valuable life experiences and networks that I wouldn’t have encountered otherwise. In my professional career, risk-taking has been pivotal in achieving growth and success.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have built my business on a foundation of personalized service an expertise in the local Denver market, and a strong analytical focus on client needs. Though rewarding, the journey has not been easy to get to this stage. With challenges including the navigation of market fluctuations and economic conditions, Denver has truly been a unique market to build a business in. Resilience, strategic planning, and client-centric approach have helped to overcome these precarious times, and helped to fuel growth.
I take pride in my community involvement, as well as the strong relationships I have constructed, leading to a growing client list based off referrals. I’ve learned the importance of adaptability, continuous improvement, and building trust through transparency and integrity.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is definitely a challenge! Denver has some of the best restaurants out there, so any trip would ideally revolve around food. Breakfast would start at Steuben’s Uptown, followed by coffee at Thump. Before grabbing lunch at Sub Culture or Curtis Park Deli, I would highly recommend a walk around Cheesman Park and the Botanical Gardens, and if you’re in season, pick any of Denver’s exciting farmer’s markets.
Dinner would be at Potager, Coperta, or if pizza and beer is more your speed, head over to Blue Pan Pizza for a Detroit Style (a happy compromise for those with a group that loves Chicago and New York style but can’t decide)! Following a concert at The Ogden, I would take any new visitor to Hudson Hill or La Bouche to wrap up the night with a drink.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Everyday, I am an continually inspired by the leaders of our firm Bret Weinstein, Jon Yacovetta, and Tammy Deitz who through innovative approaches and mentorship have led Guide Real Estate to the distinguished spot it sits in today. I feel fortunate to have the support of these individuals bolstering the growth of my business.
However, most of the everyday credit to my success can be dedicated to my husband here in Denver and my family back in NY and CT. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in me have been the true foundation of my Real Estate business. I continue to rely on their love, guidance, and the sacrifices they have made inspired me to strive for excellence and achieve my goals. I am deeply grateful for their presence in my life.
