We had the good fortune of connecting with Preeti Grover and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Preeti, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I first moved to Colorado in 2005 from Washington DC , I realized there were not many threaders here ! So, majority of the people didn’t know about the precision that threading has over waxing . I had a solid vision of creating my dream into a business. Which is to have my own salon. In 2006 I became a skin care therapist and got my license !
I always believed , I had a natural talent for skin care and facial and head massages that I wanted people to try and feel rejuvenated ! That’s how I put my thoughts into action and started promoting it !

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Threading is a method of hair removal originated in India ,In more recent times it has gained popularity in Western countries. In threading, a thin cotton thread is doubled, then twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short rows of hair.

Advantages cited for eyebrow threading, as opposed to eyebrow waxing, include that it provides more precise control in shaping eyebrows, and that it is gentler on the skin! P.s I am know to be the lightest threader with minimum pressure !
You can do eyebrows , upper lip , chin , forehead or the whole face for peach fuzz for a smoother skin ! Make up goes flawless on the threaded skin.
I believe once you know you are really good at the technique, there are few to no challenges ! The only little challenge that I had was to reach the maximum amount of people so that they can try out this technique of threading , thanks to social media now a days which made reach to masses a lot easier and the happy clients did their part of the job by telling word of mouth to many !

Colorado is beautiful and possibilities are endless …. I love to go camping ,hiking and walks as this state offers all the beauty and scenic views .
Rocky Mountain national park, Estes park , Breckinridge, manitou springs offers the best scenic views and few of my favorite places !
I loved to camp last spring/summer time at sand dunes , that’s a good place to visit !
When it comes to food , I am a foodie at heart , there are pretty good dine in places in downtown ! Blue Agave , ocean prime , and La Loma!
There are few cute spots like Littleton downtown for a quick lunch and a nice afternoon or manitou springs !
I love to have tea and enjoy my tea time as well , there is in-tea in Littleton and babes tea room in downtown for a nice cuppa with a friend !!

I would wholeheartedly give my shoutout to my husband ,(Arjun) for always being there as supportive and progressive spouse ! He being from IT helped my business , since he made my website , which gave me a platform to reach to mass audience ! Since , he is a good listener , was all ears to me for my new ideas to my startup ! He has been very understanding, accepting and always allowed my perspective, this made my decision making a lot easier.
