We had the good fortune of connecting with Reaghan Beaver and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reaghan, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
At Relational Resilience, I’m all about helping people navigate life’s challenges—whether that’s individuals, couples, or families right here in Colorado. My heart is especially with healthcare workers and first responders, who give so much to others but often struggle to find the support they need for themselves. My goal is to create a ripple effect of resilience and connection, strengthening not just individuals but our entire community by fostering emotional well-being and healthier relationships.

Beyond Thornton, I’ve started an Instagram page (@reaghan_mftc) to reach healthcare workers, first responders, and their families everywhere. These are folks who face unique stressors—yet stigma often holds them back from seeking help. I want to change that. By sharing relatable stories, practical insights, and even a little humor, I hope to break down the barriers that keep them from prioritizing their own mental health. More than anything, I want them to feel seen, understood and encouraged to take care of themselves—because they deserve it.

And if I happen to help others along the way? That’s just a bonus.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the founder and sole clinician at Relational Resilience, a relational therapy practice that I run virtually from my home. I’m incredibly proud of building Relational Resilience from the ground up. Starting this practice has allowed me to combine my passion for helping others with a flexible structure that aligns with my values. I’m excited to continue growing my expertise and working with a community of clients who are eager to improve their relationships and mental health. Through teletherapy, I’m able to connect with residents across Colorado, providing convenient and accessible care.

What sets my practice apart is my systemic training, which allows me to work effectively with families, couples, and individuals. I have a particular passion for supporting overachievers and people pleasers—those who find themselves constantly giving to others at the expense of their own well-being. While I welcome clients from all walks of life, I have a special interest in working with healthcare workers and first responder families. Personal experience has given me insight into the unique challenges these populations face, especially when it comes to maintaining healthy relationships amidst high-stress environments.

Launching this business has been a significant leap of faith, but it’s one I’m so grateful I took. I’ve leaned on my determination, my support system, and my belief that even helping one person can create a meaningful ripple effect. The journey hasn’t always been easy—managing the business side of private practice, balancing multiple jobs, and building a client base have all been challenging. However, I’ve learned to embrace these struggles because they’ve often been opportunities for growth. Each obstacle I’ve overcome has strengthened my confidence as both a clinician and a business owner.

I want the world to know that Relational Resilience is a space where you can come exactly as you are and find support tailored to your unique needs. Relationships are at the core of who we are, and my mission is to help you strengthen those connections—whether with a partner, a family member, colleague, or yourself.

My practice is grounded in empathy, evidence-based techniques, and a genuine passion for helping others cultivate stronger, healthier lives. And here’s the truth: I’m human, just like you. I’m an imperfect, sometimes anxious, healing people-pleaser who is beautifully messy, and loves building authentic connections with others.

I want to help you embrace your humanness and discover the things that bring you joy and fill your cup. For me, that joy comes from belly laughing, running, adventuring with my best friend and partner, intentional family time, reading fantasy novels, and spending time with animals. Let’s work together to find yours.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ohhh, I love this idea! Let’s imagine we can magically travel across the state in no time!

Here’s my perfect week-long itinerary:

Sunday: Start the day with breakfast treats and coffee at the Arvada Farmer’s Market before heading to the Armadillo Antique Mall to browse unique treasures and vintage finds. End the day in Estes Park with dinner at La Cocina De Mama.

Monday: Begin with a sunrise hike at Emerald Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park—it’s absolutely magical! Spend the morning exploring the park, then drive to Grand Lake for lunch at World’s End Brew Pub. In the afternoon, head to Maroon Bells and set up camp for the evening.

Tuesday: Grab breakfast at Spring Café in Aspen, then spend the morning exploring the local shops. In the afternoon, drive to Ouray for a late-day hike at Box Canon Falls. End the day with dinner at Maggie’s Kitchen.

Wednesday: Enjoy a scenic morning drive to Telluride, where you can grab a breakfast treat at Baked in Telluride before riding the gondola for incredible views. Hike the Bridal Veil Trail to see the falls, then cap the day with a sunset off-roading tour in the stunning San Juan Mountains.

Thursday: Start the day with breakfast at The Butcher and The Baker, then drive to Buena Vista. Spend the day soaking in the relaxing Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, and wrap up with a sunset at Cottonwood Pass.

Friday: Head to Colorado Springs for a scenic morning drive up Pikes Peak—don’t forget to grab one (or three!) of the famous donuts at the top. Afterward, tackle the challenge of hiking the incline, then refuel with a feast at Mother Muff’s. End the day exploring Garden of the Gods before staying overnight in Colorado Springs.

Saturday: Wrap up the week by driving back toward Denver and enjoying a final meal at Atomic Cowboy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I truly believe that our experiences shape who we are, but at the core of those experiences are the people who lift us up, inspire us, and remind us why we keep going. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my family, my friends, and most of all, my parents.

My mom and dad have been my biggest cheerleaders—literally and figuratively. At my races (yes, I’m a runner… I know, ew), they’re always the loudest in the crowd, cheering me on with every step. When I told them I wanted to move across the country to chase my dreams, they didn’t hesitate—they encouraged me to go for it, no questions asked. And when I hit my lowest points mentally, they were there, reminding me of my strength, and helping me find my way back to myself. I owe so much to them, and I’m beyond grateful to have them by my side through it all.

To my family and friends—you’ve been my foundation. Every word of encouragement, every act of kindness, every reminder of my purpose has kept me moving forward. This is for you—thank you for being my rock, my inspiration, and my greatest supporters. I couldn’t do this without you.
