We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebeccah Silence and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebeccah, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Here’s the truth no one will tell you – pushing forward just to prove something or hoping that just by finishing, you’ll suddenly feel different about yourself or your life is a non-starter and a no-go. Really, there are just three solid reasons to keep at it. If these don’t touch your heart, then it might be time to reassess and pivot towards something that truly resonates.

First up, stick with it if it’s genuinely about personal growth, about becoming that version of yourself you’re truly excited to meet. Remember, it’s not about capability—you’ve got that in spades. It’s about deep, genuine desire.

Next, if what you’re doing feels like a call from deep within, something that aligns with your spirit or feels like it’s divinely guided, then that’s a sign to rise up. It’s about becoming the person who can fulfill this commitment that feels bigger than you.

And lastly, sometimes the reason is straightforward: you just really want to. And that’s perfectly fine. If something speaks to you on that level, it’s worth listening.

If these reasons don’t resonate, it’s okay to shift gears. Find those goals or dreams that do fit these criteria—because at the end of the day, it’s about what genuinely makes you come alive, not about ticking boxes or meeting external expectations. Keep it focused, keep it true and you can only benefit.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve been helping people and families heal since 2002. My life’s work is about the unparalleled strength of focusing on emotional wellness and soulful alignment. I teach that healing is freedom and that the transformative power of healing from within is available to anyone who wants it.

In my practice, every family member is valued, and guided to fully embrace and express their authenticity in a space where love thrives on understanding and acceptance. My goal extends beyond merely helping families dream of what could be; it’s about creating environments where those dreams are surpassed, crafting legacies of love that defy past traumas.

My work reaffirms that healing is not just a possibility but a foundation for families to build upon, allowing children the gift of growing up with parents who have navigated their own journey of healing. This commitment to transformation is about breaking cycles of trauma, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience the unconditional love and support of a healed family. Through understanding, compassion, and genuine connection, we can redefine the essence of family, making the dream of well-loved children and healed parents an attainable reality for everyone.

There isn’t a case I haven’t cracked and what I know for sure is that we can all be the one in our own family that heals generational pain, abuse, and trauma cycles, for good. I am that person in my family and if you are here with me now, reading these words, I believe you are the generational healer in your family.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love living in Denver, Colorado. My spirit came alive and I found myself in this city. The mountains will ground you. Hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, and even just breathing in the air will ground you and help you connect to your own voice and your own guidance. Then there’s the music! As a music therapist, I am especially blown away by how many incredible artists come through this town every single week. Be sure to treat yourself to a show at RedRocks. The Pearl Street Mall is also a must-see. Artists, shops, great food, and local characters will delight all of your senses for sure! Theater opportunities are also incredible. And finally, if you’re a foodie, check out Flagstaff House in Boulder.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This article is dedicated to my ride or die BFF, Holly Robinson that has supported, seen, and loved more than 150 shades and versions of me, always speaking to and honoring my greatness in every season for almost 20 years!
