Meet Rev. da IV | Rapper

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rev. da IV and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rev. da IV, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the most important factor behind the success of my music career is my friends. I literally would not be able to do anything without my friends. I make music with them, play video games with them, hoop with them, live life with them. They inspire me to create and motivate me to be successful.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art would most definitely not be possible without my friends. They carry me through the creativity process and in life in general. I would not be where I am currently without my friends. It most definitely was not easy but they made it a lot easier than it really was. At the end of the day, I want people to look at my career and take a look at their circle of friends and realize that their dreams can really come true with those people. It’s hard a lot of the time but it is so rewarding. Everything I do is with my friends.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting area I would do my best to make them feel like they have lived here their entire life. Depending on the friend, we could do a lot of outdoors stuff or we could do a lot of chill stuff too, or even a combination of both. When I first moved back to Colorado in 2016, one of my favorite things to do was to go to Horsetooth Reservoir so we’d definitely have to go there. Hitting up some of the local breweries would be a must! Checking out the the city vibes of Denver and Colorado Springs are very interesting too. They both have unique city cultures that I feel like are very different, yet interesting to themselves. I enjoy both of those cities although it can not beat the small-ish town vibes of Greeley.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow! There’s so many people to shoutout. If I had to bring it down to one, it’d have to be my brother Epeli “Peli” Tukutau.
