We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodrigo Ramirez Sierra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rodrigo, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
As an entrepreneur, I knew that starting a business was going to be hard and I was going to need help. I made sure to surround myself with hard-working and positive people. These are people who I have worked with in many stages of my professional career and I can depend on them to bring a positive, problem-solving attitude to our events.

What should our readers know about your business?
After working in the Food and Beverage industry for 10 years I decided to take a leap of faith and start Alpine Luxury Events in 2020. Letting go of the idea of failure was a challenge for me, but since day one, all of my family, friends, community, and coworkers have been extremely supportive and kind. Fellow event planners in the Roaring Fork Valley have offered me guidance, and all of this support has contributed largely to my success. It was not easy to start my own events business, but I truly believe my foundation of a strong work ethic, problem-solving abilities, and creativity has helped me grow my business over the last two years. At Alpine Luxury Events we are focused using the creative and talented local vendors in the Roaring Fork Valley to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of our region.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being based in the Roaring Fork Valley, there are a lot of activities to do year round. In the summertime I would take guests mountain biking in Sky Mountain Park in Snowmass and head to Woody Creek Tavern for a drink and food afterwards. I would also take my guests to Marble for a hike, swim in the lake, and BBQ from Slow Grovin’. If I had guests visiting during the winter time, I would take advantage of the amazing skiing on all four mountains in the valley. Most likely we would ski Snowmass and head to Sam’s Italian on the mountain for lunch.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my former boss and mentor Brian Lamblin. First, Brian taught me to always put my best foot forward and do the best job possible. He pushed me to work extremely hard and take pride in all of the events that we were a part of. Secondly, Brian taught me the importance of being kind and respectful to everyone involved in the events. From the ice delivery person to the bride, Brian always greeted everyone with a hello and thank you. He taught me that building relationships is extremely important and valuable.
