We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosa León and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rosa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I realized that I wanted to live for myself and for my community based on my talents and doing what made me truly happy. That’s why I decided to reinvent myself. I decided to change the direction my life was taking. At that moment I understood that it is not a cliché to think that life is short, because it is. So I decided to start a business where I could use my talents to help others discover their talents, to reinvent themselves; to create their businesses; to develop the best version of themselves. That way I would be happier, I would be more aligned with my purpose, and I would help others achieve it too.

What should our readers know about your business?
“Si Quiero Por Eso puedo” (I can because I want) is a company dedicated to help people find their passion, their talents, to rescue them, to reinvent themselves and create their own businesses based on their talents, experiences, professions or trades. At Si Quiero Por Eso Puedo, we believe that we all have the opportunity to change the course of our lives at any time. That reinventing yourself is not starting from scratch, but on the contrary, it is restarting with your suitcase full of experiences and learning that you can put to use those experiences to serve that new life, that new career, that new business that you want to start. Making my way in the United States, with a business focused on reinvention, created initially for the Hispanic community, has not been easy. For centuries the Hispanic community, and especially Latin women, have believed that their lives should be dedicated solely and exclusively to marriage, their partner and their children. Therefore their own desires and projects, always came last.
Today that vision has been changing, evolving, and there are more and more Hispanics, and especially more and more women, who want to enhance their development, build their projects and achieve success.
Something that makes us special and different, at Si Quiero Por Eso Puedo, is that we believe and work on professional reinvention, on business creation, on the achievement of successful projects, but based on personal development.
I am a firm believer that you cannot develop a career, create a business, lead a professional project to success, if you don’t develop the best version of yourself, as an individual .
I am a business consultant, a life coach and author. That is why in all our trainings we work and encourage our participants to work on their mentality, develop their interior, their self-esteem, values, and at the same time train themselves to create their businesses with the greatest possible success.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In fact, that’s something I did before, with my daughter who lives in Miami, the first time she came to visit me. The first thing we did was visit the Art Museum. In this museum we could spend the whole morning. Then, we can have a coffee and a snack in the museum cafeteria. Next we would walk through the Central Business District because I like to show people some iconic buildings in the
city. I also love showing them what I find to be a treasure trove of architectural variety: a castle, an Italian-inspired clock tower, a huge blue bear, and a building that looks like a cash register.
We would end the day having dinner at Avanti Food & Beverage, where everyone can choose what they want from the great gastronomic variety that is offered in that place.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father was and has been, the person from whom I have learned the most in life. A simple man, cultured, very intelligent and always dedicated to reaching out to whoever needed it.
My father helped me understand that I am the most important person in my life and that there is nothing that I am not be capable of. From there, I began to choose better books to read, courses to attend, classes to take, and see the world from a different perspective. A broader perspective, generous, open and focused on achieving what I set out to do without running over anyone along the way.
