We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruby Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ruby, how do you define success?
To me, success is loving your life. There can be a lot of obstacles in life, but the ultimate goal is to be happy. When the world is too loud and busy, I turn to my knitting. There is something magical about using your hands to make something that people can wear. That magical feeling is something I want to share with as many people as possible. I started my business to give me the opportunity to express my creativity and to inspire others to create.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Since my work changes with the seasons, I’m always working on next month’s trends. Knitting and crochet take time and it keeps me busy. I always check what is trending in fashion and make plans on what to create. That includes picking colors, fiber type and styles. It may be winter now, but I’m already working on spring and summer.
Also, since Covid, knitting and crochet have gained a lot of popularity. While I love to see so many people trying out such a timeless art, it has made me work harder. I’m always trying to find a way for my work to stand out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our first stop would to Jubilee Roasting Co. in Aurora. I love their Golden Chai and their breakfast burritos. Then we would head over to Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. After that, lunch at the Lowry Beer Garden is always my favorite way to enjoy some Colorado sunshine.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family are my biggest supporters! They deserve some credit because they never stopped pushing me start my business. Any time I start to doubt my abilities, my family won’t let those thoughts linger. My husband always supports me and my goals. My siblings never turn me away when I need a model for my work. I would not be where I am without my husband, my siblings and my dad, cheering me on.
