Meet Ryan Duong | Dentist and Dog Dad…….Dr. Quynh Nguyen is a Dentist and Jiu Jitsu Instructor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Duong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ryan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Dr. Quynh and I are co-owners of Oasis Dental Adults and Kids. Dr. Quynh was actually my mentor for 8 years and convinced me to pursue dentistry. She has been my good friend throughout the years. It was only 2-3 years ago that we started seriously thinking about a business partnership.

Dr. Quynh, purely works with kids and I only work with adults. Seeing both sides of dentistry made us realize how it can sometimes be inconvenient for a mom or dad with a big family to see two dentists in two different locations. With Oasis Dental we hope be a solution towards that problem by creating convenience for families.

We also hope to run a dental practice that is clear/transparent, comfortable, and affordable for patients. Our practice has state of the art technology and we put a lot of investment into it. Unfortunately, our photographer is scheduled to take pictures of the practice in a month. But if you would like to see or take pictures of the practice you are more than welcome to. We have only been open for 1 week so far!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Ever since I was a kid I have always dreamed of being a business owner. I’ve always been obsessed with doing a start-up growing up. This started with a lemonade stand, to a van with a concert, to an app where you could live stream you and your friends competing against one another, and many more ideas. All my experiences have come together to create Oasis Dental, which I am so proud of. We hope to create a brand with Oasis Dental. Many dental practices that provide affordable care has an infrastructure that also looks affordable. We are one of the few that understand affordable dentistry should be complimented with a dental practice that patients feel proud to go in. It has been an exciting journey so far.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a full day itinerary I would first take them up to Evergreen early in the morning to go hiking and see the mountain town. Then I would take them downtown denver to go to union station and a restaurant nearby in the afternoon. In the evening I would take them to Boulder to explore the city at night and find a place to eat on south pearl street!

My dad has always been a huge supporter. He escaped the vietnam war to come to America. And worked his way up starting with nothing. Which has given my family and I so much opportunity.
