Meet sally Anderson | Real Estate Broker

We had the good fortune of connecting with sally Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi sally, what matters most to you?
Integrity. Integrity is the most important principle in my personal life and my business life. Showing up and living out who you say you are is what makes a person stand out from the others. IN a world full of lies, deceit and a lack of honesty, character and accountability, Integrity will always set you apart. I am certainly not perfect, but I strive to be who I say I am. I show up authentically and honestly. It’s not always the most popular way to be, but in my opinion, it’s the best way to be in the long run. In my business there is an abundance of fake, false, dishonest people that tell you what you want to hear. You may not always like what I have to say, but it will be honest and truthful.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my business in 2004. I originally thought I would be an equine veterinarian. That wasn’t where my heart was and I took a dramatic turn. My gifts are with people and in sales. It has not been easy! People can be very difficult and learning how to deal with 100’s of different personalities an adjust accordingly can be difficult. I spend my mornings meditating and praying. I have learned that my time with God has given me a peace that I wouldn’t have without Him in my life. I also have learned that giving back is the most important part of life. How can I serve others and give back with no expectation? It’s not always easy and you can’t be easily offended! This grounding of “giving back” has really shown me that life isn’t just about me and the money I make. But it is about what can I do for others and what are others needs.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first take her on the trails in Boulder for a hike or a run. Up around Mesa trail up to bear canyon and maybe over to green mountain. We are incredibly blessed with the amount of trails we have in Boulder. Dry Storage is one of my favorite bakeries. I would take her there for breakfast and then for coffee, I would take her to January coffee. This is a new coffee shop that is just amazing! Eldorado Springs is another must see with many trails to hike as well. There are several restaurants I must mention. Oak, Japango, Bramble and Hare to name a few. The farmers market on Saturdays is a great place to go and support local farmers! In the summer there is live music on Pearl St on Wednesdays evenings. I would take her there for sure. Best ice cream place is Sweet Cow… so we can’t miss that! A stroll on Boulder creek path up to Eben G Fine park would be a nice mellow walk. Scott Carpenter pool in the summer is also a must see! 50 M pool with a slide! Don’t miss that one!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say it is a combination of people in my life. I mostly get my strength through my faith and from my own will and perseverance. I have always been good with people and I love sales. I also love my job! The fact that I get to help people find a home or sell home, which will be the biggest financial investment of their lives, is an honor. I take it very seriously to guide people in the right direction. My mom is probably been the person who has taught me discipline, persevering and consistency more than anyone else in my life. My dad taught me what it looks like to have lasting friendships and clients. Our time is the most important thing to us… and spending time with people is most important in my line of work.
