Meet Samantha Geiger | Seminar Coordinator + Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Geiger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, what makes you happy? Why?
Happiness, for me, is more than just materialistic things. Happiness for me comes from my faith, a bright sunny day, hearing the birds chirp in the morning, watching waves crash on shore, finishing a good book, seeing my best friends, spending time with family. A lot makes me happy, and for good reason. Life is too short to get wrapped up in things that, at the end of the day, don’t matter, that cause me pain or disdain. I choose to surround myself with things that make me happy so during those times of pain or unhappiness, I can always find the good even in the bad

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always lived by the motto, love your job and you’ll never work a day in your life. However, I’ve never been able to actually know what that was like until recently. I am able to travel and see places I have never seen before, I have a boss and leadership that consistently fill my cup and never put me down. I’m excited to grow professionally with this company and see where it can take me in the future. Now, getting to where I am today came with a lot of challenges. I was unemployed for a few months and had to start living off my savings. Times were stressful. Then I found this job and I have worked hard to show that they didn’t make a mistake in hiring me. I have since been able to help train a new employee.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Easy, I would take them to the mountains. It would be an all day adventure, starting far before the sun rise. We would find the best spot to watch the sun rise over the trees. We would go hiking and see some of the most epic views. Finishing up the day catching the sunset. Watching the sky fade into a shade of orange. Then I would take them to Beaujo’s pizza, some of the best in Colorado.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents deserve all the credit in the world. I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am without them. They have supported me through everything and have dropped everything to move me from one place to the next. I am externally grateful for them and the sacrifices they have made for my brother and I.
