We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I feel risk taking is essential in any business or career. You never know what will happen if you “apply for this job” or “pitch to your dream client”. I can personally say it’s been scary to take risks in my own life, but what I can tell you is that, anytime I have, I’ve created some incredible experiences for myself. Some I thought would never happen and others where I brought up important topics I felt needed to be discussed and I was connected with the right people to share that conversation with.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an Adventure Travel & Lifestyle Photographer & Blogger. I am still in the midst of a journey of building a business that provides a financial and sustainable income. One where I can successfully create intentional savings for my current life state and future. I think what sets me apart, is myself. I always get hung up on finding that ONE THING that sets me apart in a field where everyone feels the same. I have found that by leaning into MY SELF, MY PASSIONS, and MY PERSONALITY, I create my own style within the outdoor travel industry. People will find a liking to what I share and follow me because of that no matter what journey I take them on.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Truthfully, I’d like to recognize all the people taking risks in being uncomfortable to go for that dream, whatever that looks like. I must admit, I hate the comparison analysis that comes with being on social platforms, but at the same time, I love seeing entrepreneurs working hard for their dreams and creating a life they are proud of. My inspiration and encouragement comes in witnessing the hard work of other fellow business-owners. I hope that I can inspire someone in MY journey to take small risks while working a full time job and building a life they are happy with.
