Meet Sarah Allie Moore | TEDx Speaker, Embodiment Coach & Intuitive, Activist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Allie Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah Allie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is the birthplace of play and creativity. It calls you to get out of the container of what’s “known” and dive into all the potential that lies outside of the box. Risk is where we discover who we really are, what we’re truly made of, and opens us to our greatest potential. It is a catalyst for authenticity because to answer the call of the true self requires the risk to be seen, heard, and witnessed just as you are in your fullest humanity. I’m learning how to play more with risk and try something new everyday, to push myself just a little further outside of what I’ve known or who I’ve thought myself to be, in order to know who I truly am. Trying on new ways of being, building new habits, choosing to do less when I would typically do more, or pushing harder for more when I would typically shrink and do less, each action, choice, or belief I expand, all of these are examples of the stepping stones of risk that have guided me towards a deeper understanding of who I am, how I serve, and the value I can offer to others. When we try on new ways of being or take action in new ways, we discover a surrendering of our limitations and an openness to life that draws us towards what truly makes us motivated, inspired, fulfilled, and purposeful.

What should our readers know about your business?
My work is centered around embodying your radical authenticity in the world. I work primarily with survivors of abuse and those challenged by societal pressures around identity that intersect gender, race, sexuality, and/or LGBTQ+. My clients are cycle breakers, healers, creatives, and heart centered leaders who desire to claim their light, shed the layers of the “not enough story” that keep them from sharing their gifts, and embodying their unique shine and self-expression. Using different embodiment, mindfulness, and energy techniques to guide you on pathway through your body, I help my clients learn how to step out of the story of struggle, effort, pain, self-hatred, and force and build a better relationship with ease, liberation, and well being. I help my clients attune to their body’s wisdom and begin the healing path towards creating whatever desires and dreams they have for themselves to uplevel in all areas of their life. I believe that your purpose is in being yourself, unapologetically. Every dream, hope, and desire you carry within you is available at the moment you allow your uniqueness, your expression, and your heart to lead the way. A fulfilled and whole YOU is the vehicle to impact and transform your life, your community, and the world.
What makes my work unique is what I bring to the table through direct experience and the community of support that you’ll find here. As a queer, BIPOC, woman and survivor of abuse and addiction, I am a testament to and deeply understand the layers of trauma that can keep you stuck as well as the wisdom that lies within you to transcend that “not enough story”. This is also why the format of most of the work I lead is done in groups, because I’ve learned from my greatest teachers that healing happens in community and community that holds and uplifts one another is quite literally the way we create a new earth.
Growing into this work has been a journey of deep self-inquiry, self-awareness, and commitment to self-love. The most important piece of advice I’ve been given when it comes to growing a business is to master the art of tending to self. If I am not nourished and energized, my creativity and capacity to show up suffers. If I am not grounded in my feet and connected to my body, I am less capable of supporting others. If I am not actively engaged in my own self-care practice and healing, I won’t be resourced enough to walk others through theirs. I’ve learned that the the success and longevity of any business is directly correlated to the inner-success we prime in ourselves first.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a Colorado native, I am amazed at how many places I have yet to explore in our beautiful state, and, I have discovered some pretty awesome gems here! Whenever I have friends or family visiting, the number one place I have to take them is to the hot springs. Colorado has some of the most gorgeous springs to soak in and my favorite is Cottonwood Hotsprings in Buena Vista, just a couple hours outside of the city.
In the city, I would definitely include a trip to the see the beautiful, vibrant art at the Kirkland Museum, snap fun photos throughout the Selfie Museum, and getting lost in the fun weirdness of Meow Wolf. For entertainment, buying tickets to a show at the Denver Center for Performing Arts is a must, listening to jazz over happy hour or dinner and drinks at The Nocturne, and if it’s summer time, catching a movie under the stars at Red Rocks Amphitheater during Film on the Rocks.
Now, I’m a total foodie and I’m mostly plant based, so I’d have to take them to some of my favorite plant based restaurants like City O’ City, Watercourse, and So Radish. Some of the most unique spaces I might also take them to is for drinks at the tiki bar Adrift, experiencing kava at The Root Kava, and noshing on appetizers with tea in the gorgeous setting of the Dushanbe Tea House.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In the current season of my life, my deepest gratitude would be for my mentors and teachers, Taylor White Moffit and Dia Nicholson, whose work and support have helped me reimagine and embody what greatness is for me. They remind me all the time that I am enough just as I am, worthy, deserving, and highly capable. A shoutout to my Humanity First leadership cohort who inspire me with their greatness and a generous space to belong. A huge shoutout to my best friends (they know who they are) who have supported me with their love, held me through tears, and witnessed life with me. A Shoutout to my Dad and family, who after almost 20 years of being separated, have proven the power and healing of forgiveness. Lastly, I’d like to dish up some love for all the other healers, teachers, mentors, friends, relationships, and spiritual family over the years that have graced me with their wisdom, support, and reflection of love that reminds me that even in the midst of struggle and heartbreak, life is always providing hands and feet to hold us in the midst of it all.
